ProsSee new model vehicles daily and understand the production process behind such a great vehicle.

ConsPlenty of the work is repetitive and many people are comfortable within the old processes.

Prosgreat company great cars. I spent most of my time there really contributing alot to and learning about the process of production of cars

Consno down sides. The faculty is great. The managment actually cars about the quality of your work. Great work environment.

Conslong hours, commissions should be bigger

Advice to Senior Managementhave us work shorter shifts, and bigger shares of the profits on these expensive cars because we are the ones selling them

Great workplace, nice cafeteria, awesome colleagues

    Diploma (Thesis) (Current Employee)
    Munich (Germany)

ProsBest thing is that you can come and go whenever you want as degree candidate (Diplomand). No hours counted and since 01.May 2014 - 70 bucks more per month, yay!
You talk to everyone on a first name basis, so thats very sweet for a German company. Accordingly relaxed is your relationship to your collegues AND your boss :)
Cafeteria is incredible big and offers different food on 12, or 14 pavillions - didnt count yet.
If you have the BMW-License you are allowed to get cars over weekends or just overnight.

Consvery (and I mean VERY) bad chances to get a job after your thesis if you're not in the BMW Fastlane program.
If you don't know anyone on the "inside" its hard to get an intern or thesis place, too.
I cant think of any real cons, once you're in.

    Great place to work

    IT Specialist (Senior) (Current Employee)
    Munich (Germany)

ProsGreat products, great culture. Though it´s a complex environment and challenging sometimes to manage the complexity (main reason mostly constantly growing business) it´s a lot of fun to be part of this network organization. You get in touch with so many different departments, tasks, cross functional projects that you constantly extend your personal horizon - if you like to do this. It´s also very easy and supported to change roles frequently as long as you are curious, open minded and willing to learn quickly.

ConsParts of the company are still very "German", sometimes language is a barrier; the organization is getting better but still struggles some times with the integration of international sites and people

Advice to Senior ManagementKeep improving the structures to support internationalization.
