    Pros

Casual, comfortable atmosphere. Opportunity for advancement and mobility exceeds many competitors. Many long term employees, shows BNP can be a home.

    Cons

Communication between groups can sometimes become complicated, but that goes with any business.

    Pros

After almost 2 years in the company, I appreciate the mix in between a French and American bank, meaning it is still possible to keep a piece of French culture and be connected with France while working in America. Good to be eligible to overtime.

    Cons

Promotion is a very slow process and management is not always looking forward to reward its current employees and is looking for external employee while openings happen.

    Advice to Management

Reward your current employees and make them feel appreciated and important.

    Pros

They give you a lot of vacation. They are also good with the promotion of Internal mobility. Lots of employee development programs.

    Cons

Bad bonus awarded at the end of year. You are paid overtime which in the end affects your overall compensation figure.

    Advice to Management

    Higher pay needed

    Pros

-Team I worked on was friendly and helpful -Lots to do -Plenty of ways to contribute to improving systems

    Cons

-Heavy siloing -You were stuck doing one or two tasks, sometimes for years at a time -No clear cut policies in place, you were expected to just learn as you go, and it would take anyone about 6-12 months to learn the processes and procedures.

    Advice to Management

Quit the siloing, put people where they are interested in, put more in documentation

    Pros

One of the best global banks to work in the world that accepts diversity and is a leader in banking. Unlike what people think, BNPP is actually bigger than Citi, JP & BOFA Merrill Lynch in the US & pays comparable to Goldman Sachs on Wall street.

    Cons

The drawback for working at French bank is that the bank's culture has silos and management decision making is concentrated at the top where most executives speak French. Depending on where you work and what position you are in - you might see redundant process oriented work & a more bureaucratic work environment with boring culture.

    Advice to Management

    Cheer Up!
