I have been working at BNY Mellon full-time

    Pros

Great work life balance. People genuinely care about each other. Challenging work. Managers care and do their best in a very challenging industry that hasn't recovered from the financial collapse.

    Cons

There is a heavy reliance on reducing expenses because of the revenue challenges. Firm is going to be left behind in some areas by not keeping up with technology advances.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

More focus on technology for the next generation (don't just play catch up). Sell some of the businesses to focus on better profitable areas.

    I worked at BNY Mellon

    Pros

This was my first professional job. I did not intend to get into banking, it really just happened. I was lucky enough to work with a great group of people and I definitely learned a lot about the business. I will say I learned more about the business world then anything.

    Cons

The pay is not so glamorous.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Overall good job.
