    Pros

You get a paycheck.. There are no other pros to working here..

    Cons

If you join this company, you will be treated as a slave. You will be forced to work nights and weekends with no extra pay or bonus. If you do not sell yourself as a slave, you will be blackballed and eventually terminated. The managers in this company are all a boys club.. On monday after being forced to work all weekend, due to their lying to customers about the schedule, they will talk openly about their golf game. After the recent acquisition, they have not fired a single one of these useless idiots. If you do join, watch your back..

    Advice to Management

You love the company so much, and want to do whats best for the company.. Then fire yourselves.

    Pros

Good salary, but you will be working for 14 hrs a day. Good company to start your career with. Because after working here, you will survive in any company. Fun company events.

    Cons

Too much work pressure, forget about your personal life if you are thinking of joining this company. Recently laid-off many people.

    Advice to Management

    None

    Pros

Steer clear unless you can live with verbal abuse, emotional abuse, incompetent management, 1980's management style, favoritism, cronyism, managerial hypocrisy, dishonesty, untrustworthy human resources, and corporate chaos

    Cons

The air conditioning worked. Coworkers used to commiserate but now staff are double agents and coworker sabotage is the norm. You can only trust yourself

    Advice to Management

    Step down

    Pros

Follows a process/structure of work flow.

    Cons

Forced to meet deadlines which results in poor quality. Expects employee to work 10 hrs per day.

    Advice to Management

Bally technologies discriminate their employee a lot with regards to department. They have a low eye on the SQA department and does not consider SQA's for perks/bonuses whereas other/management enjoy the bonuses.

    Pros

    Near the beautiful Lake Tahoe.

    Cons

Very suspect business practices in a shady industry. Watch your back. Trust no one.

    Advice to Management

Don't bother hiring people outside the casino industry. They have different ethics.

    Pros

    1. You have a job

    Cons

    1. No work life balance at all (11 hours+ per day) 2. You will get laid off if you are a US citizen eventually, if you are H1B or US Citizen with Indian background you are safe. 3. Replaced almost all US citizens with H1B workers from India 4. You need to attend long hours meeting at night with India

    Advice to Management

Care a little bit about your employees

    Pros

I had to move to Las Vegas for family sake. When I looked out for companies sponsoring work visa Bally was one of them. I cannot think of any other Pros

    Cons

I got offer at IGT as well. I made a huge mistake by choosing this over IGT. I was reporting to director of a team who had no idea about giving any directions to the team. He wasn't making enough to meet the company goals so he was putting his team (we were 4 people, yes 4 people reporting to a "Director") into any project belonging to any other team in Bally. There is no growth opportunity and there is no concept of 8 to 5 job ever in Bally. They don't value employees. No concept of being paid as timeoff or comps for working over time. Bally as a company wants to make employees work over time. People who work over weekend, new year and long weekend are the ones they hail as STARS . If you are entry level better not to choose this company. You wouldn't learn much

    Advice to Management

Value employees. They should be positively reinforced for them to be more beneficial to you. Appreciate their hard work. Don't make someone a director of a team (even though they have only 4 people reporting to them) just because they have been with the company for 10+ years.

    Pros

Benefits, but that can be outsourced. HR watch your back.

    Cons

Toxic work environment. Don't work here! Management is clueless. Execs make over a million $ per year and you suck in their minds. JC, you need to rethink your strategy because you are anathema in the rest of gaming.

    Advice to Management

Get rid of JC. He is cancer!

    Pros

None really, some of the lower level managers are easy to work with

    Cons

Gaming industry is in shambles due to the ecomony, and Bally's knows it, and treats employees like cattle

    Advice to Management

Quit playing lip service to the employees.
