    Pros

overall good Health insurance benefits. was given 90 days when my child was born, was good to have as a father. most companies only give the father a week. People are all pleasant to be around. not a bad environment.

    Cons

frustratingly low pay for the amount of work asked, even if you have worked there a long time. For the amount of responsibility, asked, the amount of systems required to know to operate properly, and as fast -paced as the job is, the low pay is almost not worth it. you change job positions without much trouble, but your pay dosen't change unless the position change is drastic.

    Pros

Good work/life balance (at least in my position of Operations Rep), decent benefits, opportunity to grow, massive company with world-wide opportunities.

    Cons

Low pay compared to the average (I made 38,000/year as a Sr. Operation Rep in Florida), red tape due to the size of the company and because it is publicly held, seemed to be a huge push for consumer data protection (which is good), but it got to a point where it seemed that the company did not trust its employee's, a lot of rules/procedures...

    Advice to Management

Employee's don't care about "at-a-boy's", "pats on the back", or meaningless recognition. Employees feel valued when they are paid well for their work. Pay well, give good benefits, give bonuses and employees will stay. Onboarding is much more costly than retention.

    Pros

This is generally a good place to work if you like complacency. It provides a comfortable, secure, safe, work environment with a moderately competitive compensation package and lots and lots of work. Great place for upwardly mobile sheep, looking to climb a corporate latter.

    Cons

As a legacy Merrill Lynch employee I stayed on with Bofa after the 2009 recession and their corporate take-over. The changes were stark, but they came slowly over several years. In that time the general atmosphere, culture, and overall compensation package changed dramatically from great to worse, providing less of everything, while squeezing out more and more, and as much as possible, from everyone. Same old corporate grind.

    Pros

Good benefit package including Health Insurance, Child Care Reimbursement and Tuition Reimbursement programs.

    Cons

Bank of America is trying to take a leading roll into changing the way people bank from a traditional banking environment to a self service technology driven experience. This goal has cause BOA to bite off more than they can chew as they have not executed an effective implementation strategy rather they are trying to railroad their customers into adoption by depleting the banking centers of tellers. This in turn creates a very high tension and adversarial environment between the employees and the clients creating a poor customer service experience for the client and limited sales opportunities for bankers. Everything is a fire drill and mid and upper management has been slow to react in taking a corrective action. If BOA doesn't figure out the direction they want to go they will bleed customers and talent.

    Advice to Management

Appreciate your customers and employees more. Implement strategic changes in well thought out and well executed phases. Your lack of vision is causing too much pain at banking center level. Which in turn leads too low production, low morale and ultimately dissatisfied customer and high employee turn over.

    Pros

Competitive Base, opportunity to climb the corporate ladder.

    Cons

Glorified Personal Banker with Licenses. Compliance Is A Nightmare & Management Is Equally Sloppy.

    Advice to Management

Role needs to be more of a investment specialist and not a "bank hand with a Series 7"

    Pros

Good benefits and start with 3 weeks vacation and the option to purchase 1 additional week

    Cons

They do not listen to employees, your treated like a number, everything is about the bottom line. They layoff entire call centers without much notice to outsource.
