    Senior Teller (Current Employee)
    Brandon, FL

    ProsMedical benefits
    Room for advancement
The company is very supportive of many things

    ConsOverworked
    Under payed
    Not enough time off
    Under staffed

Advice to Senior ManagementThere needs to be a more balanced work flow. People still need to have a balanced life and more flexibility to do personal events.

    Call center vs banking center

    Customer Service Representative (Former Employee)
    Tampa, FL

ProsCall center had flexible hours for your home life or banking center had regular banking hours also work from home.

ConsIf you worked in the call center you had to work nights, weekends, and holidays until your job review and your seniority would let you get a 9 to 5 schedule you got paid extra but it could work for or against your family life.

    Great learning opportunity

    Operations Representative (Current Employee)
    Jacksonville, FL

ProsOK pay, bank holidays, lots to learn if you are interested in finance/banking/accounting. Beautiful campus in Jacksonville, FL.

ConsLots of overtime expected in production environments. Scheduling time off is tricky because the bank only allows a certain amount of associates off at the same time for all sites in your department. Many people put their requests in early for Mondays, Fridays, and days around holidays.

Advice to Senior ManagementPlease consider a formal mentor program to help newbies who want to advance.

    ProsBenefits and potential career opportunities

ConsWas laid off without warning due to market condition, but still able to post for positions and be rehired.

Advice to Senior ManagementBe more aggressive in assisting associates when you have good people looking to make a move to another department.

You better love BOA and banking.

    Teller (Former Employee)
    Pompano Beach, FL

ProsBenefits & Tuition Reimbursement. I was lucky enough to have awesome co workers.

ConsManagement is clueless. Work-Life balance is a joke because the company really doesn't care. Company thinks that your life IS BOA. The pay sucks. There is no bonuses. The only ones that get bonuses is management. Fakeness among management gets bigger as the title goes higher. Management needs to take people skills classes, customer service & customer satisfaction training.

Advice to Senior ManagementAllow employees to voice their concerns about policies and procedures because mostly the tellers and personal bankers are the ones dealing with customers 95% of the time. Stop charging customers for everything under the sun, that is why non account holders don't want to open new accounts and the current ones end up closing and going elsewhere.

High stress low reward a competative salary but that's it

    Banking Center Manager (Current Employee)
    Miami, FL

ProsGreat benefits for men specifically paternity leave 12 weeks fully paid for bonding.

ConsIt's your branch run it your way as long as you are running it their way. Half attempts at providing the full breath of the services unless you are in a flagship store

Advice to Senior ManagementA stupid pin and certificate are not what I would call appreciating your top performers. Niether is a poorly thrown together awards celebration at another banking center 45 mins from you in rush hour traffic on a Thursday at 5:30

    Bank Teller

    Teller (Former Employee)
    Bradenton, FL

ProsI enjoyed the flexibility of the job. I was able to work at Bank of America and be a full time student thanks the the management recognizing the importance of an education.

ConsPay was decent but the monthly goals were unrealistic. We had to open a specific number of accounts each month but reaching this goal only happens by chance. If a person comes in looking to open an account and I direct them to the personal banker that counts!!!! I didn't like that reaching the goals were out of my control and based solely on chance.

Big company to learn, too difficult to do anything due to bureaucracy

    Technical Analyst (Current Employee)
    Jacksonville, FL

Prosgood work-life balance, good benefits, relaxed dress code, flexible schedule

Constoo much bureaucracy, low salary, job is very unstable, almost impossible to have anything done, too much change, too much focus on risk mitigation

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company
