I have been working at Bank of America full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Love the seminars, groups, and volunteer opportunites the bank has to offer. Also, the career sight makes it easy to search within the company.

    Cons

I feel that there are a lot of biases with in the company. All about who you know and not about the work you put out. Also, it's a running joke that BofA is definitely "overworked understaffed".

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

If you want retention, reward the employees you have instead of spending the budget on new faces.

I have been working at Bank of America full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Worked here 4 years, good local management team. Always very supportive and understanding. Benefits are very good.

    Cons

Like many other big banks decisions always seem to be dollar driven with less concern given to displaced employees. Can be difficult to grow depending on your job position in the company.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Sometimes the dollar and cents decisions should be thought through better.

    Pros

Huge company so lots of room to move around. Also, great to meet a lot of different people, so you are not stock in a little team forever

    Cons

Huge bureaucracy. Managers/supervisors always win regardless of how wrong they are.

    Pros

Some of the best professionals and managers that I have had in my career.

    Cons

Occasionally, the "lifers" can make for a hostile work environment. My current situation is the most difficult working relationship that I have ever had in my career.

    Pros

Great location and facilities. Good corporate structure and work-life balance.

    Cons

It was surprising to see how little everyone knew. There is a reason Bank of America has been hit with so many lawsuits: no one knows whats going on.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Make all employees take a financial aptitude test.
