I worked at Bank of America

    Pros

Great benefits including 4 weeks vacation first year and great medical. Sick leave not at all great.

    Cons

Terrible management. Constant layoffs. Backstabbing co-workers as they intend to keep their job. Despite the great benefits one of the worst company cultures.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Cons

Pay is kept at the executive level and does not trickle down.

I worked at Bank of America

    Pros

    the benefits and nothing else

    Cons

    If you don't like it, "don't let the door hit you in the butt";
CEO is a hypocrite; he will say how much he cares about the community... ha ha ha... His actions show he does not care about the employees at all; the employees are a part of the community.
BOA at 70 Batterson Park Road, Farmington , CT is a horrible, horrible, horrible place to work.
The bathrooms are disgusting; management does not care. You will find balls of poop and pee all over the toilet seats. The bathrooms smell so bad it is absolutely disgusting.
They have this "survey" which is ridiculous; if you indicate you are unhappy with BOA, then your Team Leader gets the heat for that and not upper management. Mostly everything you complain about in the survey, your Team Leader will pay for it even if it was not directed at your Team Leader.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I would, but they don't really care.
You management skills are horrible; you are horrible people.

I have been working at Bank of America full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Bank of America has always been a well paying company and they have pretty good benefits. Okay work hours, the bank isn't open for very long during the week.

    Cons

They will always find a way to get rid of you. In my case it was by dissolving my current position. This company is also extremely focused in pushing people into products. They may say they care about the customers to save face, but they are really just trying to make a buck off you.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay attention to the people that work below you. Listen to your customers. You say that you are listening but you are only looking for ways to save a few bucks by getting rid of positions.

    Pros

Good benefits package. They have a fitness center downstairs that is free to all BOA employees

    Cons

People are stuck up and stuffy and they will over work their employees

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop acting like you're better than everyone else just because you have a MANAGER title.....CLEARLY a title that SOME OF YOU.......DO NOT NEED AT ALL.

I have been working at Bank of America full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

    The company offer great benefits.

    Cons

They pay very little and as you move up the pay increase is absolutely ridiculous. The next step up from a teller would be to become an SSS which stands for Sales and Service Specialist and after that to be a banker. They have eliminated the Teller Supervisor position accross the US. After 6 years with bank of america I started at 10/hr and I am still making below 13/hr. Management changes a lot and if sales arent great there is a lot of SALES PRESSURE on the tellers. They want you to SELL SELL and SELL with every customer interection. I can not wait to leave this company!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hire more tellers! The lines are out the door and a lot of time you schedule less people then what is needed to run the branch. Customers are not happy! Be realistic!

I have been working at Bank of America part-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Experience and the benefits are ok

    Cons

They are now cutting back on tellers and will eventually get rid of them. Some days, I am the only teller working the front teller line and the drive thru and it's ridiculous ! The customers are angry, sometimes you can't even get a break, or even use the restrooms. They're takin away teller commissions, but still expect you to refer customers to personal bankers. Starting to become a terrible company

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop putting too much pressure on the tellers. Bank of America is a ver popular bank and cutting back on tellers is not smart or fair.
