    Pros

Learn a lot if the employee takes the initiative

    Cons

Poor management. Too much politics in office. People tend to play the blame game more than concentrating on their work. Employees end up draining their energy on petty matters. No respect for juniors. Place is full of bureaucracy.

    Advice to Management

Seniors should learn to respect the juniors, and they should not forget that everyone is equally human.

    Cons

bureaucracy, less transparency, hard to transition from one team to another, worthless trainings, main work is outsourced, bad quality of work.

    Advice to Management

Take interest in the development of Associates you choose from top universities. Don't waste you and their time.

    Pros

Great team atmosphere--this is the place to work if you thrive by strategizing with team members to meet targets. This aspect of the job is what got me up in the morning.

    Cons

Unbelievable level of micro-management, not to mention cumbersome systems and procedures--I've worked in the financial services industry over fifteen years--never seen such archaic, time-sucking procedures! They say they want FSA's to give sound financial advice to clients, but they just want you to sell a client something--anything! If the client can fog a mirror, he/she had better not leave your desk without having heard at least one product pitched--from credit cards to auto loans to mortgages--not the investment planning and financial planning metric that guides true financial advisors! Only reinforces why people hate to get financial advice from a bank--the banker will just trying to find a quick transactional sale so they don't look bad on next week's sales report.

    Advice to Management

Stop threatening your associates with disciplinary action for not following the "policy du jour" you just implemented--we're more professional than that--we don't need to be scolded and cajoled--rather, treat financial professionals like the adults they are--they will gladly follow procedures--it's what professionals do.

    Pros

Great benefits! Tuition reimbursement is a life saver. Ok healthcare. Did I mention tuition reimbursement.

    Cons

You're a number and treated as such. No longer pay per performance across the board. Management is clueless about any and everything in most departments.

    Advice to Management

Promote growth, learn to be more innovative. Listen to your associates and not yourselves.
