    Pros

Great resources and opportunities to provide for your clients and drive revenue to the bank

    Cons

The bank is too focused on it's own quarterly earnings cycle and not what's good for the long run. Not does it really care about clients or employees. Which us proven time and time again as it keeps getting in trouble with regulators.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

This bank needs an entirely new executive leadership team.

    Pros

Benefits and pension, ability to move up the corporate. If you take the abuse ( and give to as many people as you can you can retire from here.

    Cons

Everything else. Corporate culture where you have to step on others to be a part of the in crowd at BC level.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Axe them all and get new management.

    Pros

    Good networking opportunities.
All the promises they make sound great! (It's a shame they don't follow through)

    Cons

Little to no career path from the banking centers and upwards
Bank Managers have very little autonomy and very little support
Not customer OR employee focused as they try so hard to portray

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Inside corporate structure comes across very fake with those who can fake drinking the company "Coolaid" the best getting the accolades and advancements versus "doing the right thing". Bonus structure is typically made out of reach so you end up feeling like a failure with impossible to reach goals. Goals are heavily tied to customer feedback but you don't give the banking centers nearly the hours needed to accommodate the needs of the customers, nor the tools to be able to really help the customers in the way they need help. The vast majority of centers are old and embarrassing to welcome customers into.
FAR TOO MUCH EMPHASIS ON SELLING WIDGETS VERSUS DOING THE RIGHT THING FOR THE CUSTOMER (no matter what you say, your actions and senior market management do not reflect this)
Having employees sit on the phone for hours trying to resolve customer issues while being transferred numerous times to "the right department" is embarrassing and a reflection on how little support the banking centers have.
THE ENTIRE MORTGAGE DEPARTMENT IS AWFUL!!!!!!!!! MAKES YOU NOT WANT TO ENCOURAGE THE RIGHT FINANCING OPTIONS FOR THE CUSTOMER BASED ON THE EXPERIENCE YOU KNOW THEY'RE GOING TO HAVE WITH IT.
Salary's are not a fair reflection for the time you expect your managers to commit to working, sacrificing their personal time.
WAY TOO MANY conference calls about nothing. Micro-managing beyond reason. Lots of people in this company like to speak to hear themselves speak without adding any value and wasting everyone else's time.

I have been working at Bank of America full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Benefits were good and salary was fine.

    Cons

Management style is only to focus on the negative. Never a kind word was uttered. Also pushed sales too heavily, less focused on keeping customers and too focused on bringing in new customers.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Management needs to build up their employees and not just constantly knock them down. Management was negative, I worked at several locations with many different managers and had the same overall experience of negativity and being torn down. Also the company needs to focus on serving existence customers and keeping the existing customers happy instead of focusing so heavily on bringing new people in the door.

    - Most of the softwares that are used are outdated
    - Not a good company for consultants, weird policies for them

I worked at Bank of America

    Pros

The benefits are decent and work / life balance is good. Good teamwork amongst some team members.. Job benefits were good as far as car, gas card provided..

    Cons

Numerous management changes in short time period which lead to different opinions... favoritism to the long term employees and not giving the newer employees the training, assistance and leadership in order to develop and grow.. push by management to rate high on their employee survey..

    Pros

    I can't think of a one.

    Cons

They do not treat their employees well. They are constantly laying off employees.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

You run a very inefficient company. The only reason you do relatively well is that you are extremely large as far as companies go.
