    Pros

Great exposure to honing your skill set since lots of customer transactions. Bosses are highly experienced. Systems are becoming more computerized than manual. No shortage of manpower. Good trainings offered to everyone.

    Cons

Low base pay. Computers and work tools takes long to materialize. Conservative culture. Seniority of bosses is highly regarded over performance. Promotion is granted to very few people (due to the bell curve).

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

New president is shaking things up with the lackluster senior management. Interesting to see how the bank will evolve in a few years.

    Former Employee - Sundries Clerk

    Pros

Contented with the salaries and benefits. Immediate superiors were dealing fairly with the
subordinates. However, the area head during my time was tyrant. I could not understand why
I was an excess employee in the branch and yet they are hiring another employee. Is that fair?

    Cons

Very insulting on our part as Bank of the Philippine Islands' Digos branch which was closed in
favor of BPI Family Bank. Added to the insult was that we were interviewed first by their officers
before one can be absorbed at family bank. Only three slots were available then and because
of that, I resigned voluntarily in favor of the three who were not willing to be assigned in a far area.
There's no security of tenure in the bank.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Study very well their major decision as they can affect emotionally the employees. Look at what they did, they converted Family Bank to BPI after ten years. That's adding insult to injury.

    Pros

Industry leader in terms of stability. continuing education is prevalent.

    Cons

extremely conscious with manpower count, overlapping and contradicting policies. would consider those who report for work in times of calamity as "HEROES" forgetting that those who did not made it have also attempted to report and thus become a hero of some sort.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

be more humane with dealing with employees.
