    Pros

    Grat company to work for had a great team in the Credit and Collections Departmentr

    Cons

    Was sold to a companu out of New York and weas closed down in August 2014

    Pros

    Used to be a great group of people, including senior management, very capable, and who always delivered. These people are now gone.

    Cons

    Associated Spring Raymond's last President, now let go, instilled a culture of fear in the organization. Very belligerent, sometimes threatening and often unprofessional even in public, he caused, or forced many of his employees to leave. Morale was at an all-time low. His recent departure will definitely change this company for the best.

    Advice to Management

    Bring in a real leader, with the values that have made Barnes Group successful over the last 160 years.

    Pros

    Many opportunities to advance and gain valuable experience if you are willing to relocate. Great cash bonus opportunities based on annual business performance. Always new customer or engineering developments to keep work interesting.

    Cons

    Recent growing pains have lead to poor business decisions and decreased morale. Growing pains have also caused some animosity between team members which makes project work difficult.

    Pros

    The benefits and pay are good. As long as you're not in a management or leadership role the work/life balance is good.

    Cons

    Senior leadership are arrogant, ultra-conservative and very stuffy. They set high goals but don't take the time to implement them properly.

    Not a hard job, make you own schedule

    Cons

    What ever you sell its never enough. Budgets are almost unatanable.

    Listen to more of the employees and make budgets an incentive to make more money and keep employees.

    Good Company, I was put into a very bad situation.

    Should never put a new rep into a scratch territory

    Pros

    Company uses to its advantage self motivated sales people by offering commission dollars and freedom of work schedule.

    Cons

    commission rate (compared to the price level structure) has been raided by senior mgt

    Advice to Management

    Review commission rates and purge sales force of people who are not suited for this job. Stop milking commissions from the 5 decimal place pricing structure. Stop copy catting the Fastenal way of treating employees.
