I have been working at Baxter full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Great opportunity to learn the pharma industry. Wonderful training programs. Recognized for your quality work and efforts. Fabulous benefits. Culturally sound. Fellow team members share information and support the new hires.

    Cons

Compensation is above average. Work/Life: It is not policy to close for a 'polar vortex' or snow days. Due to busy schedules/demands/deadlines, personal growth is on the agenda, however, sometimes not the priority. However, managers have open door policies and will re-visit.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Continue the process improvement initiatives, open door policy, answering the questions and reassuring the employees.

I have been working at Baxter full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Great benefits, the thousand oaks facility is in a beautiful area. The majority of people are very polite and willing to help with whatever you need done.

    Cons

Manufacturing gets paid less then everyone else. They push you to get trained very quickly which leads to poor training which leads to errors.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay manufacturing more! They makeyour paychecks. Without them there is no product.

I have been working at Baxter full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

I believe Baxter has a way of finding the right spot for the talent. The pay + benefits are acceptable but I wouldn't call them extremely competitive.

    Cons

Difficult to move vertically in some groups, reorganizing seems more common.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Look to promote some of your young talent early in order to keep them dedicated to their roles.

I have been working at Baxter full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Awesome benefits plan, education reimbursement (100% pre-grad and 80% post-grad), ability to cross train in other departments, summer hours (work monday thru friday at nine hours a day, half day on friday)

    Cons

Excellent talent base makes it difficult to aquire a promotion (most employees have a masters degree or greater). Can't complain

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I have been working at Baxter full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

I've worked in two different areas and both times I've been surounded by great people and have had my superiors eager to help me grow. The pay is good, but e benefits are great (although Obamacare has hurt them). I've been with the company for 9yrs so far and I'm not looking at leaving

    Cons

Standard big corporate TPS reports garbage, but really not that big of a deal.
