I love this place and the people and feel that staff are treated well

    Cons

It's the lowest paying hospital in Dallas. The area around the hospital is really sketchy

    Pros

    Good people, and great facility
    Adequate compensation.
Positive morale and attitude of colleagues is helpful, as well as the laid back atmosphere around supervisor.

    Cons

Not always given the opportunity for growth.
Sometimes bureaucracy takes precedence over the obvious choice, and this leads to rifts within departments.

    Advice to Management

Listen to advice and suggestions from colleagues. Use this to increase efficiency of the working system,
as well as the working conditions of employees. Adequate conditions leads to good work from good people.
Great conditions leads to great work from good people, and the ability to demand great work from sub-
    standard people.

    Pros

For my department, business casual dress, very laid back boss & supervisors, everyone was friendly and respectful and there was no fear of asking questions. One of the best parts for our specific department was the relaxed hours, as long as you get 40 in, you have very flexible hours.

    Cons

Pay was low for my experience but it was an internship so there's not much wiggle room. No benefits, have to share floor space with other departments that had no interaction with us, passive aggressive notes left on the refrigerator. Come on people, you're all adults, clean up after yourselves.

    Advice to Management

Promote from within, most of the people that work here really care about what they are doing and deserve to move up.

    Pros

Great Company name (holds a lot of weight on your resume), Good Morale, Baylor seems to push for involvement from everyone. Company picnics, sports events, prizes, tuition assistance.

    Cons

Some of the Pharmacists are very pushy and can be a little rude at times. There are a lot of females in the pharmacy so there can be some cattiness.

    Advice to Management

Stop allowing your employees to throw each other under the bus. Don't encourage us to snitch or tell on each other. Don't micro manage.

  11. Great place to work and grow.

I worked at Baylor Health Care System full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Wonderful experience, great people, common vision of support for the community. Personal growth, patient-focused care comes across.

    Cons

Corporate growth sometimes comes at a price to the average employee. The hospitals of the healthcare system can come in line more with the system

    Advice to Management

Improve communication to staff. establish succession plans and encourage personal growth to all of the employees. Make sure everyone knows they are valued.
