I have been working at Baylor Health Care System full-time for more than a year

    Pros

The leadership pays close attention to employee's career growth. They value the hire-within and promote-within strategy. The culture is very family-like.

    Cons

The annual reviews are tedious and long. I mean, LONG. It will take you days, if not weeks to complete. Not all communications from the leadership are clear.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The PTO is very very very small compared to the average American companies.

I have been working at Baylor Health Care System full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Baylor offers lots of software development opportunity that is hard to find elsewhere. Innovation and creativity is welcome. Best of all-- everything is centered around providing the best patient care. This is a great place for people that are interested in using their talents to make a difference in the lives of others.

    Cons

Hours, Salary, Workload. This is not a good place for people that want to make a good living working 40 hours per week. The work is challenging and there is a lot of it.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Please try to recognize your most talented and dedicated employees, and reward them better.

I have been working at Baylor Health Care System full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

This hospital system has good benefits and pretty good pay. They also have good vacation time. The tuition remimbursement is great.

    Cons

However, there is not much room for advancement and the company does not seem to be very supportive of career changes even though they offer tuition reimbursement.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Allow employees to change career paths within the organization if they have chosen to go back to school and seek additional education.

    Pros

Great staff , pay was good, vacation time was also good.

    Cons

Benefits and retirement could be better

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Work on not only not cutting benefits but give some back. The market is running like a bull.
And workers still have the same everything when we had economic downturn. You will burn out the people that are doing the work of 2 people for same pay. Someone is making money .
