Current Employee – been working at Bbva full-time for more than 3 years
Pros – Considerate and caring people
Pockets of enthusiastic people striving to improve themselves and the company
Lots of opportunity to learn and grow as a person, even if not as an employee
Cons – Inefficient processes and weak systems implementation
Extremely bureaucratic
Without speaking Spanish, you will struggle to survive
Cronyism overshadows meritocracy
Advice to Senior Management – Learn to delegate, not just from management down, but also geographically speaking - Head Office should not be a black box that makes decisions and does not answer questions, nor should it micro-manage its employees thousands of miles away --- Dual-reporting matrix style org chart is disastrous
If you want to be a global bank, you can't be embarrassed to speak English
Make the investment in global systems if you want to compete globally - thousands of wasted hours on tedious tasks will never let you prosperously compete in developed countries

Pros – Always a change happening, never consistent with processes, new technology makes for better customer experience.
Cons – Being global has it's toll on legacy employees, not everyone adaptable and flexible and cooperative.
Advice to Senior Management – Give more opportunities to those that demonstrate a desire to move up.

Current Employee – been working at Bbva
Pros – there is a lot of growth going on within the company that is allowing for more opp if you are ready for it.
Cons – There have been too many changes and the best strategy has not always been employed recently. Not as much stability.
Advice to Senior Management – Have more of a set protocol so that there is a set way of doing things. This will leave less variability.

Current Employee – been working at Bbva
Pros – BBVA has a great benefits package, some of the most cutting edge technology in the industry (Retail Banking). Management is "hands off" allowing people to perform their tasks w/o constantly having to look over their shoulders.
Cons – Communication b/w areas of the Bank is lacking and information is very slow to come from management.
Advice to Senior Management – Better, more transparent communication with employees regarding their roles w/in the company and organization.

Pros – They helped me to develop my talent with on-line courses and an executive Master's. The content was good enough. They also allowed me to develop professionally in the direction that I wanted. They challenged me as much as I wanted.
Cons – They are too political and they do not give enough freedom to develop one's ideas.
Advice to Senior Management – Try to have a more international approach to business in general.

Former Employee – worked at Bbva full-time for less than a year
Pros – Good working atmosphere, at least in my department (legal affairs). And all the people in my department, including my boss, treated me really well. The wage is very good too, especially if you're a begginner like I was.
Cons – There were not a lot of young people in my department, or in the building that I was in general.
Advice to Senior Management – There's nothing really I can complain about my senior managers. They really kind of me, and if sometimes they didn't have enough time to teach me as much as I would've liked to, is because they didn't have the time, they were so busy.
Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend
