    Pros

Benefits were good and fairly inexpensive. Online resources for testing requirements are easy to use. Otherwise there is not anything else that I would recommend.

    Cons

Definite lack of communication from management all the way down to the phlebs, overhearing management bragging about their termination rates, managers having relations with their employees. No semblance of training, employee retention or loyalty to employees. Too much nepotism and favoritism. And evidently they don't care for rules and regulations (see Connecticut violations).

    Advice to Management

Remember how you treat your employees, because it may come back to haunt you in the long run. Bad press spreads faster that good news. I wish that I didn't have to rate this company.

    Pros

    This company has no pros.

    Cons

Worst company ever, they treat employees badly, too much gossip, nepotism and racism. There is no room for growth at this company.

    Advice to Management

Stop promoting family members and give others a chance.

    Pros

    Company party, campus like area.

    Cons

Everything else! This company uses homebrewed software, There is NO training to use said software. The VP's of the IT departments rely on their managers. The managers are over worked and don't have an sense of where their reports stand on their understanding of their software. They make you shadow someone, who knows as much as someone who just started a week prior.
They make you sign and date SOP's wiithout allowing questions to be asked.
The manager of the LAB IT department hs NO IDEA how to manage a team.
Doesn't know how to speak to people, doesn't like questions directed to him and will crap on his employees to prove a point. He doesn't trust anyone on his own team, which is why he does everything on his own, working 24 hours a day a times due to lack of training.
His employees overnight are know to have girls over, drink on the job, work out of hookah bars, and generally are not responsive when i comes emails or assistence needed in the lab.
This is a walking lawsuit waiting to happen, anyone reading this looking for employment here needs to walk around with a recording device to prove their innocence or simply bring it to a lawyer and sue these guys for lying and setting people up for failure.
There is absolutely no opportunity for growth, if you come into the lab as a Tech 1, you will stay a tech one for 5 years before they even look at your and lets not forget the .05 cent raises every year!

    Advice to Management

Quit and let someone competent do your job. Train your team properly. Lay off the booze. Lay off the Drugs. Lay off the hookers that are brought in to the offices after hours.

    Pros

Enjoyed the customers/patients. No better or worse than any other laboratory as far as workload is concerned.

    Cons

Company has many management issues. Particularly on the supervisory level. Cannot keep a capable supervisor for phlebotomy. Last one was fired and the latest is a nightmare. Had problems with short checks and long resolution times.

    Advice to Management

Conduct employee satisfaction surveys and hold supervisors accountable for their actions.

    Pros

If you work in NJ, TX, or FL and very select other markets you can do well. Everyone else is screwed.

    Cons

Majority of employees can make only so so money with no opportunity for more. Management is the worst I've ever experienced. Disrespectful and demeaning. No career development or advancement opportunities.

    Advice to Management

Fire them all and bring in good people.

    Pros

Good benefits and insurance for company

    Cons

Opening up new Psc and having no patients sitting there for a whole month with doing absolutely nothing hence why they are at the bottom of the lab list

    Advice to Management

Don't have supervisor management ask employee for prior lab info. Work on bldg your own empire

    Pros

Great medical benefits and somewhat flexible hours that's about it.

    Cons

Unless you kiss butt there is no room for growth. Pay is horrible. You are watched as if your child. Lots of favoritism. Not a equal opportunity work environment. Constant change but unless you're management you won't be notified. Horrible communication between management and employees. Employees coming into the department with no experience are getting paid the same as or more than employees that have been there for years.

    Advice to Management

Start paying employees what they're worth. You have good employees that have been part of the department for years show them some gratitude and give them the pay they deserve. Take a look at your team leads and management. Stop treating employees like they are children.

    Pros

The medical benefits and all the employee discounts are the real reasons why I am still working for this billion dollar company.

    Cons

There is too much diversity, too much favoritism, no advancement unless you kiss someone's butt or sleep with them. The raises are an insult to us as working human beings. When there is an opportunity to try to move up or should I say transfer to a better department, they give it to someone else or make you wait for a year or so

    Advice to Management

My advice to management is look over your managers and supervisors, especially in the transportation department. Very sneaky, and deceiving

    Cons

Mandatory weekends and without rotating shifts, The day shift is a skeleton crew but the over night is packed with people because they only hire for nights. Focus on work output over quality. The pay is below par even with night differential. This is a revolving door company.
