    Pros

    - Bioclinica offered plenty of opportunity to grow
    - There are a number of interesting projects with a variety of complexity
    - great way to get into the pharmaceutical industry with plenty of networking

    Cons

    - Lack of vision from leadership
    - Lack of mentorship from management staff
    - Teamwork between departments was counter productive

    Advice to Management

Improve collaboration between teams and focus on personal growth, not just providing titles.

    Pros

Supervisors are open to working with your availability and taking time off or coming in late where needed
There is some opportunity for growth in different departments

    Cons

Highly political environment and employees are not really appreciated for their dedication and contribution to the company.
Management is not interested in paying a competitive wage to employees and there is no profit sharing or bonuses at the end of the year, regardless of how well the company performs.

    Advice to Management

Offer competitive wages to your employees and recruits and you will attract and retain great talent while keeping them happy to work for your company.

    Some good, some bad

    I worked at BioClinica

    Pros

benefits are pretty good (21 PTO days per year, tuition reimbursement). 401k employer match could be better. met some good people there.

Don't pay attention to the other reviews that say upper management is out of touch, or that the pay is low. you get that complaint anywhere you work.

    Cons

buying too many companies too rapidly. this frustrates the employees and the clients.

some managers are hard to work for, but some are good. depends on what department you choose.

    Advice to Management

don't sign contracts with clients that promise more than you can deliver. it's OK to push your employees a bit, but make sure you have enough resources to follow through.

    Pros

Great people who work hard and are dedicated to the customers. Lot's of potential to grow, but the corporate BS is getting in the way. Stupid new org structures designed to just provide more senior management. shared services for a small company? crazy? CEO is a nice guy who doesn't know anything and does not do anything but look out for himself, CFO is incompetent and hides from people, CTO is an ego maniac and the investors don't know what's going on.

    Cons

going private put lots of money in the CEO's pocket, a little in some other peoples and the future and promise faded away.

    Advice to Management

You got your money, retire already. hopefully a leader will come save the company. smart people have left or are leaving, ship is going down.

    Pros

Good product line potential. Good looking presence in the market. Decent compensation and benefits.

    Cons

Lack of accountability at senior levels. Tendency to over promise on what can be delivered. Rather impersonal senior management. No real commitment to employee retention.

    Advice to Management

View you employees as the individuals they are. Be direct/transparent in critiquing employees. Adopt a culture of retaining and developing employees rather than using them as a means to an end.

    Pros

Still some thoughtful gestures made toward employees, probably started back when the company was small. Good vacation.

    Cons

Too much middle management. Becoming way too corporate with all that entails.

    Pros

The people that work at BioClinica are wonderful and want too see the company do well.

    Cons

Too many VP's and none of them want to take charge or accountability .
Low pay no room for advancement

    Advice to Management

Keep employees more informed of company vision.

    Pros

Most of the people who work here are good people, they're flexible and easy to work with - there are the occasional 'bad apples' but, unless they're in positions of power/control, you can work around them.
There is, for the most part, a flexible working attitude - an hour less one day can be made up by doing an extra hour the next day.

    Cons

Management is not really in touch with the workers. They have a tendency to run after the next big shiny ball before they've finished playing with the current one.
Quick to react negatively to market conditions - lower levels feel the brunt first, upper management get hired shortly after layoffs.
It is a 'who you know' company rather than a 'what you know' one.
Low salaries for the industry/experience - many people use it as stepping-stone company.

    Advice to Management

Maintain a focus, set clear and precise objectives, listen to your employees a little harder.
