Marketing (Former Employee) San Francisco, CA

Prosvery eight-to-five; most people work 8-5 and a few extra hours on occasion. the company is situated right at the heart of downtown with all the energy that the city brings. The environment is very professional, with casual fridays being quite trendy.

Consthere are no annual salary base increases. if you're not in the core business of the company. overall not too many cons.

Stable (Relative to Street) But Bureaucratic and a little bit too political

Associate (Current Employee) New York, NY

ProsDecent pay though not the best. Relatively successful business model. Culture generally promote ethical behavior. Work (in Portfolio Analytic) can sometimes be rewarding.

ConsPMG dominance, a senior PM person is always right attitude. Uncritical of true value add, cost vs. benefits. Management throw bodies at problems without real coordination or coaching.

Advice to Senior Management1) Fire people who are unproductive (we all know who they are), they suck hundreds of millions out of the firm each year without meaningful contributions
    2) Silence selfish, tunnel visioned senior PMs/Traders who are hogging resource w/o adding value to clients + bottom line. This way you get more people working on high impact positive NPV projects
    3) Stop hiring clueless business degree grads into junior roles without telling them how much they need to be comfortable with technology on while recruiting campus
