Best Job I've ever had!!!!

ProsThis company takes care of their employees and cares about them. I've worked at other companies who say they care Blackbaud proves it!!
The pay is very competitive for this market!
The company welcomed me before my 1st day I felt a part of the Blackbaud family before my 1st day!!!

ConsNo real challenges I've been here 4 months and always enjoy getting up to go to work

Advice to Senior ManagementKeep up the great work!!! Continue to take care of your employees and appreciate the talent you have!

ProsBlackbaud is a great growing company in Austin. The culture and people really make it a great place to work.

ConsThere have been some growing pains recently. Some people like the changes and some don't.

ProsOur clients are the great! Who would not want to help support the non-profit industry?
The people will get to work with are smart, driven and have a passion for our clients.

ConsNo organization is perfect...change level is very high now but I expect that to settle now that the new CEO is here.

Advice to Senior ManagementKeep on the simplification path...it is where we need to be.

I have been working at Blackbaud full-time for more than a year

ProsThe money is good and the dress code is casual. They have a ping pong table in the office. We are not micromanaged, but are expected to sell. Beer at work (sometimes). Super nice office. Lot's of free food. They bring in massage therapists for us. The health insurance is practically free for Anthem. You can work some days from home if you hit quota.

ConsIt's hard to get hired here. They interview a lot of candidates. Non-sales jobs don't pay as well.

ProsOur entire company shares a deep passion for our nonprofit customers' causes. We enjoy a very respectful and open work environment, and have fun. Our main offices are in great cities. We are continually improving our internal operations, processes, and systems.

ConsSometimes working for a larger company (large for the space we work in, anyway) can mean needing to be patient to get good ideas heard and acted upon, building consensus can be challenging. But our executive team are good listeners and open minded about recommendations for change

Advice to Senior ManagementKeep listening to those great ideas and helping us improve our business.

Great Experience so far

I have been working at Blackbaud full-time for less than a year

Pros-Great hours. I typically get here around 9 and leave around 4:30, no questions asked
-Absolutely no weekend work. This is the first company I've worked for that the office shuts down. I get very few emails over the weekend to my phone.
-Great culture. The folks here are like family. We do company outings regularly. For the most part most of the company are good friends. There are office sports and office cook offs
-SERVING THE COMMUNITY. When you have a bad day at work, it's nice to remember what we are all here for. We do what we do to help our customers accomplish their missions
-Management. I personally have a great relationship with my manager and feel comfortable speaking with any level of management.
-Pay. I personally am paid right around market price and receive a bonus based on performance. With the flexible work hours and benefits, I think it's more than competitive.

From what I can gather in my 3+ months here, there are a lot of steps being put into place to rebuild this company and make it greater than ever.

ConsBumpy acquisition, that is finally now settling down

Advice to Senior ManagementKeep rewarding the little guys. It pays off.
