    Pros

A generous and family oriented feel. Involvery and locked in.

    Cons

Constantly evolving. Always cutting edge and the key departments don't seem to get included in the decision making. Finds their information is outdated.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Make sure departments are engaged and part of the process.

I have been working at Blendtec full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

The people I work with are so friendly, professional and talented, no matter what department! Executive leadership truly cares about the employees and about the quality and integrity of the products. Excellent compensation, and benefits. Onsite Bistro is amazing! I truly feel a part of the company family, even though I have been with the company less than a year. This company is doing amazing things and has so much potential and I am honored to be a part of it. Best employer, supervisor, and co-workers I've ever had!

    Cons

Parking is a bear sometimes... That is my only complaint!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Share stats, data, and goals with all of the employees. It will help everyone to feel like they are a part of the team, and help combat rumors, and get everyone working together on a united front. Allow communication to flow freely so employees will feel safe in sharing thoughts, ideas, and constructive criticism.

I have been working at Blendtec full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Blendtec encourages a healthy and happy well-being culture. Along with the encouragement they provide multiple benefits to their employees such as a gym open to all employees, on-site health clinic, bistro, Dietitian/Nutritionist and massage therapist along with all of their great Medical, Vision and Dental benefits. There is a ton of growth going on in the company right now and it is truly a great thing to be a part of. All upper management are go-getters and want to see their employees grow and be successful. Blendtec helps all employees progress to where they want to be in their career and love to see advancement with in the company.

    Cons

With the growth of the company there has become limited room for parking. Although, with all of the new up-to-date renovations I am sure there are plans for more parking in the near future.

    Pros

Product is amazing. People I work with are cool.

    Cons

I feel sad because I work lots of hours and lots of over time. But my hard work and effort is constantly over looked. We are expected to work over time. But when I started I was told that this company was very serious about employees having a healthy family, work life balance. That is no longer true or part of the company culture. We have been told that raises are coming. We should have had raises in June, but nothing. The CEO told us it would be in October, but still nothing. The executive team and HR continually misleads Blendtec employees when we ask about raises. My supervisor told me that he can't get a straight answer out of HR about if raises really will happen.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Focus on what you want the culture of the company to be and explain your goals with the employees. Help us see your vision. Please show us you care about us and give us raises!

I have been working at Blendtec full-time

    Pros

Not much I can say except they have a good product. The company's executive staff spins a lot of good tails. S0 if you see 5 stars on this site it was probably written by one or a very new employee. The are really good of not telling the truth.

    Cons

Leadership is in their own world and not aware what is going on on the day to day activities. Turn over is high and people are in leadership that has no idea of how to run a company. If I did like the bonus situation I would be gone. If they lose one of their main contracts it would be large impact to the company. Returns are stacking up everywhere and numbers are a little fuzzy. To much risk of the way things are being run to suggest work here to my friends.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hire some experience for a change that can lead a company and are considerate about their employees and not just good talkers.

    Pros

The blender is awesome! Some nice co-workers, Founder is great but misinformed.

    Cons

CEO, Executives and VP's lie straight face to customers. Human Resources consistently hires friends, family members or anyone they like that needs to job even if they are not qualified! Worst company I've ever worked for, it's a revolving door.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get some integrity, especially within your human resources department and upper management. Stay consistent in your Human Resource practices, one side lobbies for the client or employee and the other for the business, it makes no sense and is a terrible business practice.

I have been working at Blendtec full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

There are great people that work at Blendtec. Some of them really care about the success of each individual, the success of on time delivery, customer service and the overall success of the company. I enjoy working with that mentality. It can be exciting.

    Cons

Blendtec is struggling to change its culture. For years it has been a culture of motivation by "fear", "do it our way and now or you are fired", "don't ask questions or make suggestions". I believe there are some on the executive team that are really wanting to change this culture. But it is not happening.

The company is growing rapidly. There is a lot of disorganization throughout the company. A bit of the blame game between departments takes place. Departments stealing each others employees and going to HR behind each others backs. It gets a bit preposterous.

Each employee gets 3 weeks of PTO per year. Sounds amazing. But it is difficult to get time off. If your manager approves it, and you take time off, you can still find yourself in a bad situation when you come back if you have not reported your time off to everyone on the executive team. Yet, that information is not in the employee handbook.

There have been absolutely no raises for over a year for anyone in the company. There is talk about possibly giving raises again next year.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The CEO has stated that he has an open door policy and wants to hear from employees any time. Please make good on your declaration to the employees. If you really want to hear from us please remove barriers, hurdles and guard dogs from preventing us to get to your open door. Please update time-off policies in the employee handbook to prevent stressful situations when using PTO. Please be up front and honest about raises. Cost of living is going up but no one is getting raises. Please help us understand why this is.

I have been working at Blendtec full-time

    Pros

There are some very good people working here. The company provides good benefits and a great bonus program. Great products. A lot of potential.

    Cons

Senior staff is out of touch, uncaring, and too far removed from what is going on. The employee morale is horrible and getting worse, but the problems continue. There are improper hiring practices going on as the executive team makes room and creates positions for friends. The lean initiative is a joke. Data is not real and is made up to placate management. There are certain aspects of improvement, but overall things are much worse than they were before. Employees are extremely frustrated but cannot say anything to management for fear of job security.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Since your heads are in the sand, hire an outside unbiased company to come in and survey the employees so you can get an idea of how things really are and how people really feel. Then let's change together and actually make improvements and create the culture we want without all the forms and fluff that are unnecessary and a waste of time for everyone.

I have been working at Blendtec full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

Good people, great products, Finally some really good top managers. Gym, profit sharing, cafeteria, medical clinic, massage, free blender, better than average pay.

    Cons

Employee morale is low due to replacing lots of people this last two years. It did need to be done though.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep up the good work! Eliminate wast and respect people.

Blendtec has an awesome product and an amazing manufacturing facility.
