    Good job for those who like fashion on a budget

    ConsPay could be higher for what the company expects out of its worker. The products that we are selling are not of the best quality. Corporate people should get to know the shopper instead of saying that it is the employees fault for missing sales.

    Advice to Senior ManagementLearn what the shopper is like. Better pay for what you expect out of us.

    ProsThe best part of working for BC is the 40% discount on reg priced merchandise and being able to keep up with the latest fashion.

    ConsAs an experienced manager the pay was very low, so I would only recommend to someone looking for an entry level management job. There are floor sets every month that are long and draining with little pay roll.

    ProsGood upper management that helps you succeed in daily operations and trains you the right way. Good pay if you have previous retail/customer service work experience. Laid back job, not too hard or challenging.

    ConsWorking weekends. Upper management (district managers) not all on one accord and each have different opinions on how store should/shouldn't look and/or be set up. Hard to get a decent pay raise unless you threaten to leave the company.

    Advice to Senior ManagementEveryone get on one accord.
    Put more value on your store management (SM, 1AM, AM)
    Pay GOOD employees what they are worth to cut down on turnover rates.

    Could be better

    ProsGreat employee discount, fun work environment, great for college students or high school grads, or for a summer job. I have worked for other companies and I have to say, this company has a much lighter work load than a lot of other places. They also allow their employees the freedom to express their own creativity in the merchandising which I thing was great. Aside from the general guidelines, I feel like each store was a reflection of it's staff's own personal style. I left on good terms and made a lot of wonderful friends during my time there!

    Consimmaturity, cattiness, ignorant upper management, favoritism. I understand that personal issues are not a part of the workplace, but this company is completely careless when it comes to a death in the family, or allowing their employees to travel home for the holidays. In the 5 years I spent with the company, I wasn't able to spend one single Christmas day with my family. I was a good employee and genuinely enjoyed the job for the most part. I had a great relationship with my supervisors, and employees in the corporate office. I worked under a new supervisor the last 7 months of my employment before I resigned, and simply put- she treated me, and other select managers like dirt.

    Advice to Senior ManagementUnderstand that your employees, good or not so good, are still people. I completely understand that personal issues are not part of the workplace, but a little compassion never hurt anybody.
