Bombardier needs more than the Harvard review to succeed in this economic crises!

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)
    Dallas, TX

ProsFinancialy strong company with solid management team. Laurant did a great job bringing his son along. Pierre has become a competent executive, very bright and he is willing to fly on his own ability and not hide behind his family or father!

ConsThey made a mistake by moving all there senior exec. out. Company has a lot of untested managers who are not ready to stand up and deliver!

Advice to Senior ManagementThey need to bring some senior people back in play as they are the ones who can pull things together if given a chance.

ProsInteresting experience, I've learned a lot during my job. Good salary, great benefits. Vacation time and sick time are to be appreciated.

ConsOvertime not allowed anymore, not always a stable job, your are not allowed to say what you think in too many occasions.

Advice to Senior ManagementListening to the employees more often and try to follow their ideas from time to time. Communication and transparency should be improved.

Strong company heavily leveraged on new programs

    Senior Quality Engineer (Current Employee)

ProsOutside the box creativity, transparency to all levels of management and they are willing to invest in employee development. The company promotes from within when the talent is available.Outside the box creativity, transparency to all levels of management. They are willing to invest in employee development and the company promotes from within when the talent is available. The company puts a high emphasis customer satisfaction and empowered the employees to help achieve this objective. With several new programs underway it is an exciting time to work for the company.

ConsSome projects are to some degree disjointed and as with all large companies work silos are a challenge to overcome.

Advice to Senior ManagementStay focused on the big picture

Good potential to learn, but has management issues

Materials and Processes Engineer (Current Employee)
    Montreal, QC (Canada)

ProsIntegrated team environment helps employees to interact between various functions and learn a lot more. Benefits are good compared to the local marketplace. Good work-life balance.

ConsLack of fairness in management. Dedicated and delivering employees are not appreciated unless you're "friend" with the management. Lots of office politics which is frustrating at times. Difficult to grow even if the performance is beyond expectations. There is always an excuse when it comes to promotion. HR is working for managers only.

Advice to Senior ManagementBe fair to your employees and appreciate and nurture the good work of those who are dedicated.
