ProsOutstanding comp plan, company has an excellent work force at all levels.

ConsGot rid of to many senior people and it is effecting company performance.

Advice to Senior ManagementThey need to hire some of their senior people back as the current officers are not seasoned enough to deliver outstanding performance.

    Preparing for a solid future

    Aerospace Engineer (Current Employee)
    Montreal, QC (Canada)

ProsMany projects in development will assure solid future for upcoming years. Workload is high during development and flight test of new aircraft. Interesting work. Compensation is competitive locally. Good benefits. New programs present opportunities for advancement.

ConsApproach to implementation of quality initiatives somewhat robotic. Integration function given a lot of importance, at the expense of technical expertise, Many projects dilute technical expertise somewhat.

Great company, with lots of opportunity

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsGood work-life balance, good oppotunity for development thanks to a pretty solid career and personal development program. Fun to work for an organization who`s products get lots of media attention, it can help put your daily work into perspective.

ConsAs with many companies, it takes alot of hard work and networking to get ahead. There is alot of internal movement but of course alot of competition.

    Never a dull moment!

    Talent Acquisition Advisor (Former Employee)
    Toronto, ON (Canada)

ProsIt's a great company to recruit for. The calibre of people working there are the best I've worked with. The hiring managers were extremely impressive people! Everyone is very proud to be there as was I! Lots of long tenured employees. It's an incredibly interesting place to work!

ConsWith any large company there will always be changes in process. There is process improvement but then there are extremes. If you like routine and are bothered with constant changes in policies and procedures, then this will be an issue. Lots of turnover in Human Resources.

Advice to Senior ManagementEmployees there need to take more vacation. There seems to be a very high level of stress and pressure and that can be relieved with more time off. Some employees under a certain pay grade are not entitled to take any vacation days during their first 12 months of employment and I found that to be strange.

    Gratifying

    Avionics Technician/Installer (Current Employee)
    Toronto, ON (Canada)

ProsThe people that I worked with in the hangers to build the planes were the best co-workers in the world.

ConsManagement forget sometimes who the ones are who really make the company work, the workers on the floor.

Advice to Senior ManagementI worked in Toronto but I worked with people from all of your plants. I think you should look at the people on the floor, I mean really look at them and realize that they are the reason your company is where it is. And that your product is as good as it is. Remember one thing those people are the reason you are making the money you do. If those people decide to put their tools down and slow down production you will lose money. It is not the people who work in the office or have the fancy titles on the door to their office, it's those people who work really hard to build the best that product.
