    Pros

Healthcare isn't for everyone, and not every organization delivers valuable healthcare. Bon Secours knows healthcare.

    Cons

Little room for internal advancement unless you start at the bottom.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Consider giving more priority to developing internal talent rather than jumping to outside resources; and fairly interview, select and hire all candidates.

I have been working at Bon Secours Health full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

I have been please to work in four different positions within the company. The daycare was one of many reasons I have stayed 20+ years.

    Cons

As with all businesses, there are those that seem to get away with bad behavior while others do not. This is difficult to process at times when comparing to the values of the organization.Processes are very cumbersome and slow.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Please provide a streamlined approach to both human and physical capital. The process is much to slow.

    Pros

Human Resources has a committee on the board of directors so HR is always at the forefront. Education and Diversity is core value of the company so they offer good tuition reimbursement and jobs for all. The typical position offers good work-life balance. Also, those whole can develop relationships with executive management will thrive.

    Cons

Those who expect to be reward monetarily through either promotions or incentive programs will be disappointed.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Provide incentives for merit not just relationships or who hangs around the longest.

I have been working at Bon Secours Health part-time (more than an year)

    Pros

The company has allowed me to get back in the workplace after a layoff. They offer benefits and plenty of other great perks.

    Cons

The department management where I started off in was a little inconsistent with their rules and allowances. Things we were told we could do when we first came aboard were rejected as we went along in the role. Pretty inconsistent...

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't be so inconsistent when you find out someone wants to advance to other opportunities within the company.

I worked at Bon Secours Health full-time

    Pros

Dedicated staff with a well publicized and practiced mission to provide good help to those in need. The majority of staff have a very strong work ethic. Wonderful focus on adapting to outside changes and technology.

    Cons

Not all of management (and by default, some of their staff, bought into new program rollouts on a timely basis which caused duplication of efforts in training, etc. Management participates in daily meetings which often results in staff not having daily access to management if they need something.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Overall, a wonderful experience; however, communication was hendered because of excessive meetings.
