    Pros

Great flexibility as far as work schedule goes, good starting pay with exceptional benefits considering it's a part time position. Company gives not full, but many unique benefits to it's employees! Great products to sell and reputable brand, you will be proud to sell Boots' many product lines! Good training provided! Sales goals are fair and just challenging enough. A rewarding job! This job is a hidden gem!

    Cons

Horrible communication policy! Only allowed to contact your trainers and managers within certain time periods. Product turn around is not fast enough! Boots, tell Target to buy more products and increase the shelf count so we can get more in! As beauty advisors we sell it for you, and the shelves sit empty for two weeks or longer until more comes in. Currently no career advancements available and who knows when they will be, company is doing great, they are just younger and newer in the U.S.

    Advice to Management

Consistent communication is needed. In addition, District Managers need to come around more. Come visit your beauty advisors at their stores, spend an hour with them on the sales floor, go have a lunch together, etc. More verbal recognition would be nice. Challenges with rewards are always fun and a boost to keep going, more of those would be good.

    Pros

It's great that you are your own boss, you take breaks when you feel like it. The district manager for the WA region is amazing.

    Cons

If you are used to a high pace environment you won't like it here..

    Pros

    Flexible shifts
    Holiday pay
    Minimal supervision
    Flexibility of tactics
As a Beauty Adviser you are the face of Boots in your select Target store. In my market, people were very unfamiliar with the Brand and it was hard to "sell" consumers to trust something versus a project which was already "sold" to them by a commercial. Rave reviews and reliable products really help the cause.

    Cons

    Minimal samples
    time goes by VERY slow
    stand on feet all shift
    information overload
    no training for makeup application
sometimes you feel like you are a target customer service associate. many customers do not realize that you are NOT a target employee.. a lot of time i caught myself directing customers all around the store, at times i was even asked to walk them to different departments. they also ask for advice on products you are not representing

    Advice to Management

More competitive compensation and weekly commission *versus monthly*. More ample sample cups should be distributed. More accessible "end cap" displays should be available during BA's on the clock shifts. Meetings should be in a more neutral location. It should be negotiated between the target team and the Boots BA different ways to make it clearer to customers that you are not a target salesfloor employee. more gratis should be allowed to boots reps.
Keep up the good work selling a great product!

    Pros

    Good incentive
Work In a fast past environment
    Good product knowledge training
    Inspiring teammates

    Cons

    Annoying guest asking irrelevant questions
Horrible manager, I should say dictator.
    No upper management support
No chance of promotion even if you work super hard.

    Advice to Management

Get involved with the feedback from the beauty advisors. We work the hardest and get the least recognition. Does not feel like a giant team AT ALL.

    Pros

Meeting an working with good people
Overtime (not right after christmas due to low budgets)

    Cons

    Low pay
    Long shifts
    Repetative tasks
    Not always about the employee
    Constant cut backs
Always want favours, but never anything in return
    Low business progression chances

    Advice to Management

Always expect everything to be done correctly and to a high standard, but cant be done or done easily with low budgets as stores need the workers and resources in order to get it done right. Extremely low pay! Need more bonusues and recognition of good workers, and just just a well done.
