    I worked at Booz & Company full-time

    Pros

The people are the best. Everyone is hardworking but knows how to have a good time. A great network to have whether you remain within the company or find employment elsewhere. They have a strong alumni program.

    Cons

Growth potential is very hard if you are not client facing. Do not relay on your manager to help you if your in firm services. The pay is not very great also. Will be interesting to see how everything operates after the merger with Pricewaterhouse Coopers is fully complete next July.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to your employees and implement some of those changes.

I worked at Booz & Company full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Extremely smart consulting group, people genuinely work as a team, very collaborative environment

    Cons

Leadership had difficulty seeing a long-term strategic vision and the company has been taken over. Much top talent in some markets is leaving

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

What you had was very talented and a great brand, you sold that and now the talent is leaving and the brand is gone.

I have been working at Booz & Company full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Interesting clients and projects. Smart project team members. Challenging in a good way. Is a great way to set up long term career in terms of compensation and interesting job opportunities.

    Cons

Work / life balance is very challenging. As much as seniors want to put programs in place to better this, it remains challenging. The projects are demanding and require more than standard industry hours.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Actively listen to feedback from juniors

    Pros

Fantastic, trial by fire training to think critically. Excellent clients and some truly wonderful and very smart people who are great mentors

    Cons

Some politics (true of any consulting firm) and some people who take things a little too seriously/think too highly of themselvse

I have been working at Booz & Company

    Pros

Great people, professional development focus, high-impact projects, respect for your personal time on weekends (generally), and lots of opportunities to contribute to the company culture.

    Cons

Not sure what the culture will look like post-merger with PwC. Compensation is competitive but not quite as aggressive as some of the peers Booz claims to have in the consulting marketplace.

I have been working at Booz & Company as a contractor (less than an year)

    Pros

Laid back. Everyone works well together. Upper management seems to be stressed all the time. Non-client facing staff seems to be happier.

    Cons

I am a little impatient but I feel as if my talents are not being put to good use. I have an accounting degree and they have me processing basic work. I have spoken but it seems like my enthusiasm is worth nothing.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Ask employees what they want to do. Ask them how they would like to advance.
