    Pros

Wonderful place to work, I was well trained by my superiors and it was an overall excellent experience. Would highly recommend.

    Cons

Very few cons, some paperwork made parts of my job mundane, but otherwise it was very fast paced and an upbeat environment.

    Pros

I have worked as an intern in the Asheville NC and Seneca SC plants. Both have very positive work environments, value quality, and have pride in their work.

    Cons

Sometimes interns are underused (Seneca), and the tasks can be monotonous. Part-time employees do not get paid holiday days even when they fall on normal work hours.

    Advice to Management

Give interns more responsibilities, involve them in the actual workings of the company and invite them to meetings so they can see the larger scope of how things work. Asheville was great about this but Seneca could do better.

    Pros

Great place to work, lots to learn, friendly people.

    Cons

    Sometimes monotonous work was required.

    Advice to Management

Co-op program needs more organization. It would be great to have an assigned mentor. I was lucky enough to find an engineer who kind of unofficially did this, but I know many other co-ops felt they lacked guidance.

    Pros

Good company culture, great benefits, and job security. There's freedom to try new things, and opportunities to grow professionally. This is a great place to work.

    Cons

It's a big company, so sometimes things move slowly. The work load can be heavy at times, but supervisors are realistic and supportive.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the good work. More leadership development within the company would be one area to improve.

Limited opportunities for promotions, and some degree of lack of communication between departments.

    Advice to Management

    Pros

In my department, I could not have had a better experience. I was given projects that a full-time engineer would take on - an unmatched level of responsibility for an intern at any company.
7-3:30 shift gives you the afternoon.
Every employee reaches out to offer help and wishes you luck at the end of your rotation
Pay for an intern is good, not great.
Every full-time employee feels as though they are well-paid

    Cons

No structured intern/co-op program so each person has a different experience. Other interns had little to no responsibility and took almost nothing from their experience. It depends a lot on who your manager is.

    Advice to Management

    Keep it up!

  10. Focused on growth, excellence and investor return. I would work here again any day.

    Pros

Focused on the business and delivering results. They handle performance problems swiftly and fairly. Lots of opportunities for growth and travel. People are top notch and great to work with.

    Cons

Automotive industry is fast paced and not for the weak. This is not a laid back place to work and you are at the mercy of production schedules and project planning.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the good work on delivering returns, manage what can at times be a political environment.

    Pros

The guys (Chuck and Mike) I work with in my division in the department I work for are so great! My boss is even awesome! I have never had a boss like Mark Faris.
The pay is very generous for a electrical/controls engineer with 2.5 years of experience.
The benefits package is very competitive as well....the best I've had so far.
    Bonus is guaranteed.
I can go to any training classes I want to go to that will help me in my career.

    Cons

I think there should be more structure in how people request work to be done with the electrical/controls side of projects. Just coming up and asking us to do some programming, etc should be eliminated.

    Advice to Management

I have no problem with the management, but I do think management should consider having a structured system for requesting controls work done.
