Great

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

I have been working at Boston Consulting Group

ProsGreat place to work and learn, across sectors, across geographies. Invests in people. In India its growing very fast.

ConsHas started hiring useless people from useless colleges, because some partner happened to be from that school Nepotism is very prevelant.

Excellent experience, tough lifestyle

Associate (Former Employee)
Washington, DC

I worked at Boston Consulting Group full-time for more than a year

ProsWorking at BCG provided me with the opportunity to work with some of the smartest, most talented people I have ever come across. Between the high-level, interesting problems and the top-tier clients, BCG is a fantastic place to work.

ConsTypical top-tier strategy consulting challenges - long hours, frequent travel, demanding performance standards. At the entry level, very little control over projects you work on.

The most rewarding experience yet

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

I have been working at Boston Consulting Group

ProsSteep learning curve, exposure to variety of industries and functional areas across many geographies, working with a highly talented team, working with a variety of clients

ConsWorkload is serious and working can exceed 70 hours, easily. Expsoure to a variety of industries has a down-side in the sense that you are continuously out of your comfort zone

Fantastic company with strong values that are generating results

Principal (Former Employee)
New York, NY

I worked at Boston Consulting Group full-time for more than 8 years

ProsBCG has a strong culture with respect for the individual and a genuine interest in making insight become impact. The work is inherently interesting (most of the time) and you learn by being challenged on a daily basis.

ConsIt's a client service business and clients come first which means there are occasions when peronal life has to budge. It's particularly tricky if travel is required when difficult from a personal perspective.
