I have been working at Boston Market

    Pros

Benefits were okay. Some employees are great to work with.

    Cons

If you are not in an executive position, you are treated poorly. No family values. Constant back stabbing.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Consider listening to entry level employee concerns. Show respect and follow through on promises made. Stop running a romper room environment.

I have been working at Boston Market part-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Good if you have no experience. Most customer are very nice and at first it is a good place to work. The coworkers I work with make it fun and joyful.

    Cons

The pay is horrible I have been working there for 2 years and dont even make $8. I work 12 hour shift a day. The managers dont even seem to care. They are so cheap that they wouldnt even fix the air conditioning and heater.

I have been working at Boston Market part-time (less than a year)

    Pros

Sometimes you don't want to kill yourself.

    Cons

The place is gross, the managers are very rude, all their systems are outdated. It is sometimes dangerous to work there (cleaning vents with no gas mask, fires in the ovens, grease on the ground, ice all over the place). Horrible scheduling, they will put you on at 5:30 so you'll spend an half an hour in traffic stuck in rush hour.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Try not being incredibly rude to your entire work-staff.

I worked at Boston Market full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

I can't think of many other than some of my coworkers were friendly.

    Cons

You will never want to eat chicken again after working for this company. Their choice in management is horrid and I could not believe the amount of sexual harassment that went on. People showed up to work high on all kinds of things and I'm pretty sure money was stolen from the register on a regular basis. I was so happy to get out of that place.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Treat people how you want to be treated.

    I worked at Boston Market

    Pros

There are no pros to working for this company... There management turnover speaks for itself..

    Cons

having district managers that use you up and spit you out. You are nothing less than means to an end, a number. In my 42 years of management I have never worked with such ruthless, disfunctional people in my life.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Become human.. Be apart of the solution instead of the problem..

I worked at Boston Market part-time (less than a year)

    Pros

Occasional free chickens at end of the day. Discounted food during 15 minute lunch breaks.

    Cons

Cleaning bathrooms, cleaning the dining room, unloading shipments, prepping chickens, baking chickens, preparing cornbread, taking out the trash, and constantly washing dishes is tiresome work and you never get a moment's rest except during your 15 minute lunch break.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Whoever the poor guy who does all the work that I was doing deserves to be paid at least $30,000 a year, but I was only being paid $10,500 a year.

I worked at Boston Market part-time (less than a year)

    Pros

Great loaded mashed potatoes and cinnamon apples

    Cons

Poor hours, over worked underpaid. Managers have horrible team spirit. I was told by a manager who never worked an entire shift with me that I was a terrible person and given two weeks to get my attitude together or else I'd be fired. I'm a very pleasant person I was almost certain she had me confused with another employee. Used them as a reference not even 3 months later and they denied that I ever worked there!

I have been working at Boston Market full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Great crew! Great product! Benefits for some.

    Cons

Not enough freedom, too many restrictions from corporate, no raises or incentives. Corporate needs to know what their restaurants sell, marketing has to exploit social networks!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Give raises to people that stayed with you during your bankruptcy and who worked their butts off to get you out of it!!!!
