I have been working at Boston Private Bank & Trust Company full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Our superiors care about us, and we always have opportunity for growth. No one walks around with their nose in the air. Everyone is equal.

    Cons

Lack of communication between areas. Bank seems to be quite archaic as well. In need of updating.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Modernize. It is the 21st Century.

I have been working at Boston Private Bank & Trust Company full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

The company has great management, friendly co workers, and great clients. The employees hired have great work ethics and are treated very well in comparison to other banks. There is a great balance for work and life and since the company stresses client focus/customer service, the interaction between departments and clients are professional and courteous.

    Cons

The company still needs better training programs but they hire well tranined staff members to work around that kink. They still lack the internal growth factor as many companies stress but access to knowledge, resoucres, and networking are at employees' fingertips.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Do not grow too quickly in size and do not have employee/HR benefits be a negotiation

I have been working at Boston Private Bank & Trust Company full-time

    Pros

After working at several other banks, Boston Private feels like heaven. They are truly client based and not sales based like many of the bigger companies.

    Cons

Nothing negative to say about this place. I have been there almost a year and do not have any complaints.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Management is great. They are great to work with, understand the work/life balance and want their employees to be happy in whatever they are doing.

    Cons

need to have a company policy on certain job duties. since the merger of the company there are 3 different locations that have different peoplle handle ing the same job at differ location. we need each other on the procedures of job duties. each job detail is the same way.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

you work for a great company and are very lucky to work with the people you do. I've never felt so welcome at a tapas I meant like I did at boston private. the employees of this company are not just coworkers they treat each other with respect and compassion as if they were family

I worked at Boston Private Bank & Trust Company

    Pros

Extremely professional with immense growth opportunity. Employees are extremely knowledgeable and world class. Human Resources is great to work with.

    Cons

Opperationally the company lacks conformity. There is a large breakdown of communication interdepartmentally and throughout the organization which causes client service to deminish as well as confusion.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Management needs to be consistant and follow through. To become more technologically savy to be able to "get their hands dirty"
