Great place to work if you come in a recognizable position, unless otherwise upward mobility is very limited.

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

    ProsProduct, environment, people and stability.

ConsLack of internal development of personal. Seems like most must leave and come back to get recognized or get promoted.

Advice to Senior ManagementOutside of a few really good senior managers, does not seem like many want to develop internal candidates.

Great company for young people starting their careers

Senior Systems Analyst (Current Employee) Natick, MA

ProsHave lots of interest in developing new talent

ConsAll departments are understaffed making it impossible to use some of the great benefits as the gym or taking some personal development courses

Good company and friendly people in Neuromodulation division

R&D Co-Op (Current Employee) Valencia, CA

ProsInnovative R&D group willing to spend money on new ideas. Room to move up in the company. Lots of very long-term employees (10+ years).

Conslarge company makes some processes take a long time. You can get stuck working with incompetent employees.

Advice to Senior ManagementCompensation should be more performance-based rather than relying on set standards.

Boston is a Great Place to Work

Regulatory (Current Employee) San Jose, CA

ProsThe people are fantastic. There is high integrity in people, project management and processes - it's not just talk - it's the culture.

ConsDue to expansion and growth of the company, there have been necessary layoffs.

Advice to Senior ManagementTop Management has done a great job keeping employees informed of changes. Top management in San Jose might benefit from walking around and talking to employees 1:1. Regulatory Management has undergone great change and stability/ team dynamics does not appear healthy at this time. That may change as the team norms.

A good place to learn but limited growth opportunities

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee) Natick, MA

ProsExcellent opportunity to work with and investigate a broad spectrum of medical devices.

ConsIf you're not part of management when you're hired, you likely won't be due to the lack of internal development. The turnover is huge and they tend to hire managers from other firms than reorganize departments.

Advice to Senior ManagementProvide growth opportunities for people who have demonstrated leadership and improved the value of the serves rather than letting staff go to meet arbitrary benchmarks. Once enough staff has left, no one will be left to answer were the data is or what it means.

They gave up on south Florida leaving 1800+ people unemployed.

Senior Manufacturing Supervisor (Former Employee) Doral, FL

ProsBenefits, salary, work atmosphere and great c0-workers.

ConsCompany does not have employee loyalty. Company left 1800+ employees without a job and relocated to Costa Rica. Another fine example of a US based company leaving US workers unemployed. Complete disregard for the south Florida and US economy.

Advice to Senior ManagementBring the jobs back home. The move to Costa Rica had a huge impact on south Florida jobs.

Senior Engineer (Former Employee) San Diego, CA

ProsInteresting work. Co-workers very supportive. Good pay.

ConsHave to deal with a bureaucracy to get simple things done.

Advice to Senior ManagementAllowto make decisisions instead of remote managers. those actually doing the work i

I was a mechanical design intern here for 8 months.

Mechanical Engineer (Former Employee) Marlborough, MA

Pros1. Was able to gain a large amount of experience
    2. Lots of prototype & design work was offered
    3. One of the best reputations in the biomedical field

Cons1. What you'll be able to accomplish is hit or miss depending on project timing and the projects management
    2. Seemed to be a rift between programs and upper management
    3. Seemed the only way to get promoted was to leave the company and return 1-2 years later

Advice to Senior ManagementLook to the talent that you already have before looking outside.

Intelligent, driven employees despite approaching change.

Manufacturing Engineer I (Current Employee) San Jose, CA

ProsThe company is attractive, fun people, smart coworkers, and hard workers. Management seems to care about the present and future of the employees, especially the young, inexperienced ones. Rapid changes mean plenty of opportunity for individual advancement.

ConsHave been hiring exclusively 'defined term' employees for about a year. Defined term cuts out some benefits, including tuition assistance, annual bonuses, and severance packages. The approaching change/move is on people's minds.

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend
