I worked at British American Tobacco full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Competitive compensation. High caliber personnel. Strong investment in training. Financial performance has been outstanding. BAT has been one of the top returning FTSE shares in terms of total return for a long, long time.

    Cons

BAT has little to no presence in the United States so opportunities there are limited. Finance opportunities are diminishing as a result of automation and consolidation.

I have been working at British American Tobacco full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

At management level, there is a great system of job rotation every two to three years. This increases career opportunities, job satisfaction and widens exposure.

    Cons

As the company undergoes productivity improvements, number of available jobs reduces and thus job rotation becomes a challenge.

I worked at British American Tobacco

    Pros

Very dynamic career is possible if you do the right things. Must be able to present oneself.
Salary growth exceeds market if you really show results and display them properly to management.

    Cons

The working conditions depend on top management. If the team is reasonable you will succeed. I have heard that lately the team has been very poor.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Do not waste time on non-value adding work.
