    Pros

    None - worthless experience. They don't follow through on commitments. I did however leave with $ in my pocket.

    Cons

    Bad management. Horrible Communications Strategy. Management spends all their time trying to cover their mistakes and the mistakes of their cronies!

    Advice to Management

    Get your heads out of the dark ages. Stop putting friends in positions they are not qualified to fill. Build a strategy and attempt to follow it.

    Pros

    Great team. Very collaborative environment. Nice facilities. Competitive benefits. Compensation is ok. Good bonus program. Great university and intern program.

    Cons

    Rigid management, very traditional. Working remotely is not supported. Accountability is a big issue. While some work extra hard, others do not pull their weight and they still somehow manage to climb the ladder. Also, due to the lack of knowledge by some members of the 2nd tier mgt team, its difficult to find the leadership and support needed within the team.

    Pros

    I was fortunate to be hired by a trustful director. I was well coached and learnt well about the organization. A year later, the director moved on and left his organization to be back filled by a senior manager.who was aggressive, impatient and not trusting his team members. The company offers good benefits.

    Cons

    People are important, They can bring out success, productivity and motivation or demotivation and take down your morale. For most of our roles in our group (>12 people), there are no exceptions to work remotely even though we supported the field people who are based away from all over the US and Canada. It is certainly odd for a networking company not to have a fair practice for telecommuting. It all depended on the organization and department. Many people worked very hard and dedicated but they were not well recognized..

    Pros

    NONE: It use to be a decent place to work.

    Cons

    Terrible upper management. They are so full of them self's, not supporting at all, too micro-management. Too many Chiefs not enough Indians.

    Advice to Management

    Need to clean up 2nd tear management. Some so called managers do not have any direct reports. Just to give them the title.

    Great People, Great for Work Life Balance

    Cons

    New CEO & Management team is recruiting from outside so if your hoping to get promoted into a better role - think again. Company is focused on tactics and no - NFV isn't the future.

    Advice to Management

    Build your focus on the people, stop hiring in executives, get a strategy. Don't let the CEO (flying first class) speak at an all hands about frugality on the purchasing of Lobsters for board meetings while the rest of the employee's suffer

    Pros

    Was once a great company. Good collaboration and teamwork, smart people, a CEO who was strongly community oriented and understood that employees are the lifeblood of a company, high quality / rock solid Fiber Channel products, and fairly innovative IP products.

    Cons

    Since the arrival of the new exec team over the past year, a culture of cronyism and fear has permeated the company. There's a complete lack of respect and transparency: outside of the new inner executive circle, everyone is treated like disposable widgets. Some will point to the nearly-doubled stock price as a counter-indicator, but it's easy to increase profitability by slashing expenses and squeezing everyone; increasing revenue requires hard work... Many of the best have already left the company; there will almost surely be an exodus of staff in the summer after the next stock vesting and semi-annual bonus payout.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the excellent work of running a once-great company into the ground.

    get other jobs - or learn the company you're in before you go changing things based on your past experience of OTHER companies

    Pros

    Corporate management has a good handle on the business finances and does an excellent job of communicating business results to the employee.

    Cons

    Corporate management is impacting the business operations by reducing resources critical to operate the business at efficient levels. Additionally, there exists high level management which is less than truthful in employee communications.

    Pros

    Good technology. Good place for anyone who like fast innovation technology.

    Cons

    There were multiple management layers in Support. Most senior managers were clueless of what was going on on the floor, and micro-managing tech support engineers.
