Working on it...one day at a time...

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsI love the people that I have worked with during my tenure at Brookdale. I feel that we have a great cornerstone & mission.

ConsMy work-life balance is poor. However, that is mostly on me. Also, if the integrity line is anonymous make sure that it is truly anonymous.

Advice to Senior ManagementPut the resident (& the employee) first and the bottom line will take care of itself.

Industry to which you can easily relate

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

ProsBecause most of the people are in the field, it feels like a small company at the corporate level.

ConsBoth a pro and a con - its internal infrastructure still is in the developmental stages. However, you can be a part of this change effort.

Advice to Senior ManagementNever lose sight of the front line associates who truly make the experience for the customer.

Health and Wellness Director - Day-to-day clinical management of Assisted Living Program and Staff

Health and Wellness Director (Current Employee) Denver, CO

ProsI have a strong sense of teamwork and embrace working with other departments wholeheartedly, all while maintaining a positive attitude towards interdepartmental coordination and preserving the best interests of the residents. I desire to continue my career in in a role that delivers high quality patient care; ensuring that the emotional, physical, psychological, and safety-based needs of residents are met.

ConsIt is very sales and marketing driven being that AL is private pay. Marketing can be pushy and not always have the best interest of the resident in mind.

A company that really cares for it's residents

Life Enrichment Coordinator (Current Employee) Minneapolis, MN

ProsGood idea for senior care management. Employees that really care about their job and care about the residents. Smart and up to date treatment plans that put patients first. Large enough to have good management but quaint enough to have a small business feel to it.

ConsAlways room for improvement. Talking about the care options of other residents in an area that could be overheard. Food could be made better for residents in the quality department.

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company
