    Let's assistants run the company

Store Manager (Current Employee) Philadelphia, PA

    ProsGood pay that is it

ConsUpper management lets the staffs dictate what's goes on with the managers they the use of the jntegrity team hotline in the past year dsm and store managers of 10 plus years have been fired unjustly because they allow the assistant managers to get away with it. If you do not want to be the one in charge of your store than this is the company for you can't hold anyone accountable!'

Advice to Senior ManagementReplace some Hr reps and regionals who allow this crap to go on take a closer look at who is really running your stores because it is not the ones with the store manager title

I think this is a very clicky company. Upper management is terrible. They feel they have to prove a point of who they r

    Associate Manager (Former Employee)

ProsBenefits are good for the most part .... You definitely get to meet all kinds of people.

ConsReally don't have good quality of upper management. I guess they have to go on power trips to prove a point

Advice to Senior ManagementKeep your personal battles and feelings separate from your professional .... You have destroyed a lot of peoples lives and families. You don't have to prove a point you got what you want and you got your position. Now it is your job to work with the people under you to make it the best company possible. Not to prove who you are .... VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!!

Never good enough no matter how hard i worked

Keyholder Assistant Manager (Former Employee) Auburn, WA

ProsRelatively easy job. Easy to learn. Customers were great.

ConsYou could never do good enough. The company never looked at me as a hard working person which is REALLY what i was for si long....then they fired me because of a stupid reason.

Advice to Senior ManagementPay attention to your employees efforts and tell them they did a good job jnstead of constamt brow beatings.

Information Technology, accept your current position as you are replaceable.

Information Technology (Former Employee) Clayton, MO

ProsYou get a discount on shoes. Good food around Clayton. They finally painted the walls and changed the carpet.

ConsYou are replaceable and management makes that known. Training is on your time and at your expense, but please be up to date. Old technology. No chance at promotion, 98% is done from outside the company.

Advice to Senior ManagementAt some time you are going to need to invest in your employees.

Cheap company w/ lack of structure...

Assistant Manager (Current Employee) Grants Pass, OR

ProsEasy job, mostly paid to stand around and stack boxes

Conscheap company that cuts corners. They do not have a good system by any means when it comes to marketing, merchandising, training or structure. There are too many chiefs and too little Indians...

Advice to Senior ManagementGain better structure and allow more coverage/staff. Hire more people for back ups and relief.

    ConsGreedy, won't work with families.

I have never seen such poor conditions both in the public and private parts of the store

    General Manager (Former Employee)

ProsThe salary was decent for the area

ConsThe expectations of upper management appalled me. What five of us had done at the place of my prior employment (for eight years) one person was expected to do. It was shocking to me.

    Just another employee

Assistant Manager (Former Employee) Northglenn, CO

ProsGood to say you were in management on a resume.

ConsFirst one to be cut of hours since you get paid more. Unpredictable hours. Never get 40 hrs, 35 or less. Pay is based on what you were paid in your previous job, not performance.

Advice to Senior ManagementFigure out a schedule that keeps people wanting to stay there. Pay based on performance.
