Former Employee – worked at Burger King full-time for more than a year
Pros – A salary during desperate times.
If you are Brazilian you will succeed here.
Cons – First things first, everything they tell you during the interview process is a lie. Everyone is completely expendable from the top down and the company functions like a bunch of rats in a cage. "Rapid growth opportunities" is solely the function of consistent 'mass layoffs' and resignations of the top people. The corporate employment model has become the same model used in the restaurants (underpay, over-work, non specialized skills, create monotonous & meaningless tasks, etc) .
The Management Trainee program is where the majority of new hires comes from. Y'all just beware and always keep your resume up-to-date. They will treat you mildly better than everyone else, but the program works much like a cult where they use group pressures and brainwashing to simultaneously make you believe you are there to be major contributors to the company while at the same time The threat of firing will always loom and you will be pitted against each other. If you are looking for an edgy collaborative environment , this is not it.
Absolutely everything is about the bottom line. Office supplies are no longer provided, everyone must bring from home.
Advice to Senior Management – Go home and spend time with your families and kids, it's not worth it. You may be higher ranking, but your head is still on the chopping block just like everyone else.

Current Employee – been working at Burger King part-time for more than a year
Pros – My fellow crew members are all pretty nice and easy to work with and get along with. Some work harder than others, though.
Cons – low pay, no raises or reviews. I have worked at Burger King Part time for almost two years. I make minimum wage, and have not received one review or raise in the time I have been there. no guarantee of steady amount of hours. If they see you work hard, they take advantage of you, expect you to do more and more. Preferental treatment of employees. It is so blatently obvious how little corporate care for their employees. We can't get raises because we keep getting told that there is a freeze on raises, yet Burger King continues to make profits. Managers get bonuses and free meals. Crew members, who make less money, have to pay half price for meals and get no bonuses after doing most of the work. Yes, it's a fast food joint, but that doesn't mean the employees should be treated with indifference and disrespect.
Advice to Senior Management – Pay fair wages, for crying out loud. Be more consistent and fair when creating the work schedule. i told management I could work up to four days a week, so now I am only getting two. Be fair and expect all employees to do their share of the work.

Current Employee – been working at Burger King full-time for more than 10 years
Pros – Great co-workers and employees. Great loyal customers.
Cons – Franchisee owner asks more for the money, cut the benefit each year, work longer hour 10-12 hours a day 50 - 60 hours a week. Cut hourly employees' hour to save labor cost but overwork the salaried employees. So much for CARE program, all they care about is the profit.
Advice to Senior Management – Happy employees = happy customers

Former Employee – worked at Burger King full-time for less than a year
Pros – ~Great people in your trainee class, that's about it
Cons – ~12+ hour days
~Horrible HR department, EXTREMELY unprofessional
~Lack of communication within the company
~Layoffs every week, 20% of people WILL get cut each month to make EBIDTA
~Terms of your contract are changed without warning
~Company does not value its employees, very low retention rate, constant turnover in every department
Advice to Senior Management – The truth is your business will inevitably fail unless you make changes to the current system. Loyalty is a double-edged sword.

Former Employee – worked at Burger King part-time for less than a year
Pros – Discounts we got for food
Cons – Horrible management
No "team-work"
Managers acted like they were above everyone instead of helping employees
Would never update us of new items on the menu
Cut hours and kept hours for themselves
Would call and tell you not too come into a shift FIFTEEN minutes prior to shift starting, sometimes even when you arrived there
Manager once even asked an employer to buy alcohol on his shift!!!
Advice to Senior Management – Shut this Burger King down! Or get new management in there pronto!

Former Employee – worked at Burger King for more than 3 years
Pros – the people I worked with were good (most of them)
Cons – the company cares too much about profit.
Advice to Senior Management – if you want the business Mc Donalds has, you need to have MORE people scheduled so you make sure food gets out quickly. Also, keep in mind, they have more then one drive thru window. Thus, keeping the traffic flowing smoother.

Former Employee – worked at Burger King full-time for more than a year
Pros – Salary was above average for a quick service restaurant
Cons – poor upper management. Treated employees terrible. Not enough labor allowed to serve guest. Tried being like Mc Donald's but with less resources.
Advice to Senior Management – Stop micro managing and get your act together
