I have been working at Burlington Coat Factory

    Pros

Upper management is approachable they have an open door policy they make it a point to greet you. Very friendly and hard working associates. Processes are easy to follow and follow up on.

    Cons

Stores are too large for the amount of payroll that is budgeted. Even though the associates work hard and smart the stores are messy due to the lack of payroll. The company is challenged when it comes to technology.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    The stores need payroll.

    Pros

got paid weekly, started off as a cashier was moved to the floor (more hours) very quickly. Show you are wanting to learn the other areas of the store and they will move you up :) they let you work independently for the most part.

    Cons

didnt have a shift change duty sheet to set up for the next people to take over so things were a mess a few times a week but once I talked to the manager it got cleared up

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I have been working at Burlington Coat Factory full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

I work with wonderful CoWorkers, we all get along great, even when we were all exhausted from the holiday hours and not to mention the crowds that just kept coming! Everybody worked very hard .

    Cons

Our store is smaller and really needs to get expanded because it gets so messy and it's harder to get it looking good after each day, very very busy store, also really needs more security, a lot theft due to lack of hours security is there, upsetting that we can't get a better handle onit.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

There really should be more meetings, with all employees , so everybody knows what's expected, it's hard when we don't have the payroll to have enough management working for this.
