    Pros

There is flexible time scheduling, just enough hours to get good money on the side while being a full time student

    Cons

Not many. There is only one position so you can only grade for more people if you want more hours but they are capped by the university eventually.

    Pros

Fun work environment with an awesome group of co-workers. It is great for a student who is looking to work part-time while going to school.

    Cons

The pay could have been better. Parking was difficult sometimes.

    Pros

Very flexible scheduling which was great for a full-time student. Gained a lot of hands-on experience working with heavy machinery and welding projects. Great for engineering students to get their hands dirty while making some cash.

    Cons

The pay was decent but there are other campus jobs which had better benefits and pay such as tutoring and note-taking.

I worked at CAL POLY part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Flexible hours as a student worker; classes come first, then work.

Awesome boss in the media distribution services department.

    Cons

Couldn't work during class hours, so it was either pre-dawn or post-dusk hours. Flexible, but not ideal.

The MDS office is in a pretty old basement. It gets dusty down there.

  11. Amazing

    I worked at CAL POLY

    Pros

Everyone is extremely nice and I got to work on a wide variety of projects. The area is beautiful and so are the people that inhabit this wonderful place.

    Cons

Not many downsides, besides the lack of diversity. The area is generally white and lacks culture that can be found in places like Berkeley or San Francisco.
