I have been working at CBRE full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

I like the fact that at anytime you have plenty of training tools available for you to stay abreast with the most current software that is out there. In my current position I have been given the tools to execute the duties of my job with the hounding of a manager or supervisor. My current manager is open-minded, understanding and very professional. She definitely takes care of the people on her team.

    Cons

The process for a transfer takes longer than you would expect. I expect 2-3 weeks but it's been longer than that, but I guess for good reason.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Always be willing to hear what every employee has to say in good or bad situations, that way you are able to weigh out was real and what's fabricated.

    Pros

CBRE focuses on world-class service and developing their employees to be the best they can be.

    Cons

Huge corporate environment, offices all over the world. Most of the time your job will only ever involve a portion of the CBRE group, as there are many business units and functions worldwide.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

During my time at CBRE I saw a few face changes in upper management. I wish you all the best and success in your futures!

    Pros

In a smaller market, CBRE produces great referrals...but only if you are in a position to receive them. Great name recognition

    Cons

downside of referral business is that splits are low and if you aren't receiving much from the network, you can probably make more with a different shop

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Lots of time spent on conference calls, which can be positive if utilizing the network, a time waster for some
