I have been working at CBRE full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

CBRE is the number one commercial real estate services firm. The company's status gives it the ability to reinvest in its employees through training opportunities, merit increases, etc. The company is global with over 34,000 employees, yet at the local market level, it feels like it's own smaller company with the advantages of a large organization.

    Cons

I don't see this as a "con," but some might so I will list it here: the company is continually evolving, changing, and growing. This is a benefit to employees to allow for continuous growth opportunities. If you don't like change, you may not be comfortable with this platform.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Continue to invest in your employees - it leads to loyal, happy employees who will work hard for the organization.

    Pros

Good management, fair pay, decent health insurance and 401k.

    Cons

Some clients on certain accounts get away with treating CBRE employees badly while little is done to step in and correct it. It can be very stressful at times. You will bring work home with you and be on call to deal with high maintenance clients.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Keep up the good work.

I have been working at CBRE full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Downtown location. Very cool people to work with. Having the ability to be the "number one" in the industry.

    Cons

Management is terrible. There is no way around it. It is a nonstop revolving door in the Staffing department. There are a few people that apparently need to go back to Highschool because that is the way they act. Constantly playing games, backstabbing and acting like they support you when they really don't. The new leader that took over last year has brought the entire companies morale down to non existent. They continue to promote people that have no idea what they're doing into positions with no accountability. There is no work-life balance. You have a leader telling you that if you can't get all of your work done in a 10 hour day that you need to be at home sourcing at night working at night. That is not a healthy life to lead. There is no upward mobility and when you even bring up the fact that you'd like a promotion, they scoff at you like you haven't worked so hard. They really just don't care.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Take note of when you have 20 people leave in one department in a year that maybe something is wrong with that department.
