I worked at CBS Radio as an intern

    Pros

Absolutely loved the team that I worked with and the internship program is well-structured. You get a chance to shadow different departments as well!

    Cons

The only con was that the schedule varied weekly and you have to work most weekends at events.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you're doing - maybe suggest how interns could pursue careers there once graduated from college.

    Pros

Fast-paced, different challenge every day, all the perks of working in local radio programming -- tickets to local events, shows, movies, etc.

    Cons

Like anything else in broadcast media, low-paying in most departments except for sales and administration.

    Advice to Management

Make more of an effort to pay part-time operations staff a competitive wage.

    Pros

Good management, very different sales approach, but commission is unlimited and you get to be creative.

    Cons

Not for the beginner, HUNDREDS of assets to sell, and several different budgets to hit makes it difficult to focus on selling any one thing in particular

    Advice to Management

    Be on the same page

    Pros

Great Company, well trained experienced talent and employees.

    Cons

They don't value talent over 50.

    Advice to Management

Hire more FT talent over age of 50. Put higher value on talent not youth. Listeners don't care if a talent is older.
