I worked at CCSI full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

You don't have to apply for food stamps

    Cons

    Let's see:
The owner watches porn during work in his office
They Illegally do not pay overtime (ask about the audit)
The commission plan is the worst in the industry
Base pay is 2/3ds of what the market rate for recruiters is.
    Benefits completely blow
    Office is a dump
Working till 7 just for the hell of it is mandatory

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I worked at CCSI full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

learned more about interviewing/hiring process, how to edit resumes. etc

    Cons

not much to add to other negative reviews.
the positive reviews(from recruiters) are complete bs- no one could repeat those things with a straight face.
the low morals and lack of respect are absolutely the norm. chain letters with porn clips from the owner, anyone?

I worked at CCSI full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

None really. It's a paycheck and maybe you can tolerate the idiot who runs the place along with his never present wife long enough to find another job.

    Cons

Unethical and possibly fraudulent business practices mean you should avoid this place at all costs. They have a very high turnover rate. Horrible benefits, long hours and low wages.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Take some basic college courses or pick up a book and learn a little about managing a business.

I worked at CCSI full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

    better than collecting welfare
they like to eat wings and drink

    Cons

    everything
    low salary
    low commission
    bad benefits
office sucks- toilets don't work but the one down the road at bk does/computers are slow
the less work you do the more they give you - then take it back, cut you commissions, benefits ect....
at one point they paid the cleaning kids people more money than employees
they don't have the right insurance to place contractors in medical research and plants - they like to cut corners
a lot of employees "like" each other.. some say they might be having children together

I worked at CCSI full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Great location, nice co-workers and a great Alumni Group. Most employees got along really well and still keep in touch with each other. Senior people really helped the new people out, they mentored new employees well and some still do.
Used to get rewards cards for winning contests.

    Cons

Low margin MSP model made it really hard to make money. The environment changed while I was there, in the beginning fun and a good amount of support, when some of the senior people left the environment changed drastically. After that, no support, no senior people, everyone was out for themselves, they all hid behind closed doors in meetings to talk about staff.
No benefits to contractors, makes it real hard to get good people to put on jobs while other firms offer them. No 401k for anyone.
By the time I left everyone was leaving.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get out of the MSP business, low margin, no reward..
Get your Account Managers out making sales calls, not watching websites. What are you paying them to do?
I've never seen people get rewarded more for doing less than Account Managers at CCSI.
Offer benefits to your contractors, set up a 401k for your employees. Do things that make people want to stay there.
Figure out why so many senior people have left (I think most have told you why), those people did a great job but are doing them now for other companies now instead of you.
Get some values, re-establish a culture and make it a place people want to work again.

If there is a 'worst places to work' list CCSI should be 1,2,3,4 and 5 annually

I worked at CCSI full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

-They gave me an opportunity during a poor economy
-A couple of decent people worked there. Actually, I can remember 1 decent person.
-The owner (on paper) is very nice but she has absolutely nothing to do with the operations of the company.

    Cons

-They make you work late nights twice a week (which somehow slipped the owners mind during the interview.) I'm not opposed to working hard or putting time into my career but this was staying late just for the sake of staying late.
-All accounts are "throw mud at the wall and hope it sticks" large VMS accounts. Very frustrating way to work a recruiting desk.
-They don't pay commissions until you hit a certain level of billing, which more than pays for your desk and you're being paid an embarrassingly low base salary.
-They will give you a hard time about asking to leave early for a dentist appointment or the like ONCE.
-There is absolutely no respect for employees. The least professional environment you could imagine. I've also never seen a group of people with worse moral and there's no surprise why that's the case. I felt like I was attending a 6th grade class every day I worked there.

Stop posting fake GlassDoor feedback, they're so obviously written to address all of the negative responses from former employees.

I worked at CCSI full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

    Good location, okay office space.

    Cons

Turnover is unbelievable, more than half the company has left in the last 6 months. Double that if you go back one year.
Seems like they can't afford to bring any good people in with experience (that are not coming off unemployment). Most people are hired after not working for 6 months and then they are promoted quickly to management.
Lack of Social Media tools, job boards are to find the unemployed, not the best people.
Low mark-up, low profit MSP model. Many low level jobs to fill, hard to make money doing it. Everyone fills Admin and Customer Service jobs, can't pay my bills with that.
No direct hiring manager contact, either deal with a recruiter or an onsite rep from a MSP.
A no-growth company in a high growth industry.
Poor management, been around a long time, still a very small company with no known growth or expansion strategy. This leads to no growth opportunities for recruiters and account managers, so they leave to find growth.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

It has been said on this site before, treat your people with RESPECT. Respect their ideas and their work ethic. Promote from within. Pay for performance, recruiters place the people, account managers just send emails, why should they be paid more?
Lastly I would say sell, but who would buy a low profit, shrinking revenue company?

I worked at CCSI full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

I guess it's a good stepping stone to get into the business... but that's about it. It's not a good place to work.

    Cons

The management doesn't manage- they threaten, force employees to work late hours without overtime pay, and babysit. You have to fight for every penny you've earned in commission. They pay on a draw, but don't tell you that, they just hold back on commission until you've billed a certain amount every week, but that amount is more than paying for your desk. The owner is constantly making racial and derrogatory comments about people and is very disrespectful to his employees. There's no structured training, no room for growth and what you're doing there isn't even really recruiting. They are an approved vendor for clients who use vendor managed programs and they get jobs, they submit blindly and pray for feedback. They don't know that actual recruiting involves candidate screening, direct relationships with hiring managers, coaching candidates through the interview process, closing deals, or anything that is involved in the actual recruiting process.

    Get new management.

I have been working at CCSI

    Pros

The company paid for my medical insurance.

    Cons

The place is complete mayhem. Most dislike working there and are intimated by the owner (the real one, not the lady who works 5 hours a week). Constant monitoring of what you are doing, but nobody teaches you what to do. I could not imagine this is what recruiting is really like. They count your calls, check how many notes you make, felt like I was being babysat constantly. Glad I found another job and left, it was the most depressing time of my life. Please think before you take a job at this company, their turnover is unbelievable but they won't tell you that in the interview.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Nothing, these people are to ignorant to follow any advice. Just not nice people to deal with personally or professionally. Good luck to the ones who are left there.
