    Cons

Decent base pay compare to others.
With IT work shifting to offshore bad politics has started.
    Technology not upto mark.
Sr Managers will quiz timelines to get work done

    Advice to Management

HI, Please keep an eye on bad politics, which will ruin company's strong base we laid since last couple of years. Now we are seeing lot of quality compromise has been done for quantity, 3 yrs back awesome place to work so please try to evaluate what went wrong.

    Very limited career options.

    Pros

    -Benefits are great
    - Managers that care about your development
    - Hard work is appreciated

    Cons

    - Unless you get a promotion, merit increases are minimal
    - I do not like the new open workspace concept.

    Advice to Management

As a manager and someone who deals with confidential data I find it very hard to do my job from an open floor with little to no private space (but they are making money off the real estate so the higher ups couldn't care less)

    Pros

Growing company, great customers, exciting events, innovative products.

    Cons

Growing pains of being a rapidly growing company. Very high demands on staff. Continuously changing environment. Appropriate resourcing has not come with the organization's attempts to transition towards an advisory business. Management can't seem to decide what they want the organization to be. Mediocre management - young, lacking experience, oftentimes managing to the lowest common denominator. Sr. Executive team seems out of touch with what the customer needs are at the front line, and where employees need to focus to deliver value. A churn and burn culture.

    Advice to Management

Your best people are worth far more than your average people, if they don't feel it, you're implicitly telling them to quit.

    Pros

Great PTO, employee benefits. Professional work environment and highly technical data driven business. Management structure simplified and easy to follow career progression, bonus when company-wide KPI's are met

    Cons

Salary not great, and sometimes business and HRIS systems constantly changing and get very complicated to find anything with all the different company platforms. Better consolidation/simplicity of company information could be helpful.

    Pros

CEB is a great company that really wants you to do exceptionally well in your current role at the company. Great promotional structure as well.

    Cons

Lots of cold calling, sometimes difficult to get promoted. Sometimes partnerships within the company don't always set you up for a lot of success.

    Pros

Intelligent, young coworkers. From a social aspect, ideal place for someone fresh out of college or a recent grad. Corporate culture isn't incredibly "stuffy". Fairly lax dress code most of the time. Opportunity to learn a lot of skills and applications that will be useful later in your career. You start off with 19 days of PTO (sick days are included in this) and are encouraged to use it (at least in my dept.), after two years you get 24 days. Work/Life balance is pretty good, however, I can only speak for my department. This obviously can vary greatly.

    Cons

How to advance within the company isn't clearly defined, promotions appear to be given out to favorites and those who "cover" for managers' mistakes. Managers often don't know how to actually manage. Many have been with the company since it was much smaller and are simply managers because they've been there for so long, not because they have actual management skill. Salary isn't competitive, especially considering the cost of living in the DC area. Minimal transportation benefits. IT is always a day late and a dollar short, the chance of them resolving an issue on the first try is slim to none. Recent change in work environment has been for the worst. Moved from "cubes" to "rows" with 5 foot desks jammed right next to each other. Personal space is at such a minimum you can't even find a free outlet to plug a lamp or phone in. Lastly, turnover is high. At least 25% of the dept. has left in 1.5 years I've been there

    Advice to Management

Invest in your employees. You have a bright, young workforce that's willing to work hard, but many leave because you A.) don't properly compensate them and B.) don't provide them with a clear path on how they can advance. Stop trying to squeeze as many employees as you can in a small space. Focus on properly training and developing the talent that you have instead of leaving people in the dark and hiring more people to do the same job.

    Pros

By helping c-level executives, you can have a big impact on the world's best companies - very rewarding. Amazing development opportunities if you can take tough feedback and learn from it (which is easier said than done). For the most part your colleagues will be some of the smartest and friendliest people you'll ever meet. Good benefits and PTO, salary is ok.

    Cons

The overall culture at CEB is young, hardworking, and collaborative. But after you've been working here long enough you start to see how cliquey the company can be. You are either part of the "in" group or you're not, and the level of arrogance among some of the senior level staff is *very* off putting. However, there is opportunity to move to different groups and roles within CEB. This was beneficial for me because I ended up moving into a group that's a better fit for me compared to where I started.

    Advice to Management

As CEB grows, keep creating new types of roles and opportunities for staff.
