I have been working at CGG full-time

    Pros

Catering for some departments 3 lunches and one breakfast each week. Excellent benefits. Van pool reimbursement.

    Cons

Working for a French company is highly frustrating. Lack of direction in IT causes too much to do with too few people to do it, there is still an expectation to be without flaw. Poor corporate culture and morale. Good people are being driven away. Flex hours are not officially approved though SOME managers allow it as a perk.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Quit expecting everyone to be able to do the impossible. Save money IMPROVING instead of by CUTTING. Improve performance by focusing on doing fewer thing better instead of more things poorly.

I have been working at CGG full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Good for freshers with too much energy and NO Family, easy to get funding for higher education.

    Cons

Lack of decent career path. Techies STAY techies culture, assessment on number of bugs fixed, rather than on problems solved.
Management told me that job is Development, but its mostly only maintenance and bug fixes.

Massey Management is too terrible and try to make a literal mess of the houston employees and too much mis communications

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Respect employees and listen to their needs. Stop being some one who punishes victims!
