“Government Work Can Be More Challenging than Private Industry”
I have been working at CIty and County of Honolulu, Hawaii
Pros – Employee benefits are a plus with 21 days of sick and vacation from hire. Most employees are good, hard workers.
Cons – Appointed department heads are not necessarily qualified to perform and always have an agenda that does not improve the quality of government services. it's difficult to fire incompetent appointees.
Advice to Senior Management – Politicians with little clue and two terms to mess up.
No, I would not recommend this company to a friend
