    Pros

The company is doing a lot of cool things in the area of farming. They really seam to be pushing the limits on technology innovation.

    Cons

CNH keeps everyone on contract, so they don’t have to pay benefits to employees. Don’t even bother asking for a pay rise, that’s never going to happen, even if they change your roll and give you larger responsibilities and work. The managers are weak or try to sabotage your job, so they can blame their failures in management on you. You will be in constant fear of loosing your job.

    Advice to Management

Invest in your employees and you will see how much they will invest in CNH. Stop with all the contract bull, your projects never get done because of such high turnaround. Or if they do get done, they are a small shadow of what they could have been.

    Pros

Good company match in 401K, good products

    Cons

Poor management, no raises for 5 years or greater, no opportunity for advancement unless you sleep with the boss or kiss his or her butt. People who have no skill set to do their jobs keep getting promoted. The place is a real joke!

    Advice to Management

Wake up and smell the roses before you lose the rest of your employees. Think before you act.

    Pros

Absolutely nothing. There is no redeeming feature to this employer.

    Cons

Management plays favorites over experience. There is no chain of management instead there is a lot of lower management bypass. Lower management is just puppets to the political system. Coworkers create a hostile and demoralizing workplace and it's overlooked by management. They say all the right things and then repeatedly do the opposite.

    Advice to Management

Money is not everything. Take actual pride in your company rather than robbing from one to support another and listen to the masses who are leaving.

    Pros

401k benefits are better than most companies. Company structure is complex, so my job is pretty challenging and I like that.

    Cons

Benefits are disappointing for a company this size. Vacation is stingy and insurance is expensive. Managers and HR reps are not trustworthy. There is a lack of honesty and lack of respect for employees. There is no merit increase program other than some BS plan to compare salaries with other companies and adjust when necessary. I haven,t had a raise in 8 years. No promotions either. Pretty GD demoralizing place to work.

    Advice to Management

You guys need to wise up and stop letting HR run the show. We are doing more work than ever and getting nothing in return. True, most people aren,t there just for the money, but going so long without a raise is not only insulting, but has a major detrimental effect on my family.

    Pros

Lots of work to do, learn a lot, great 401K program, benefits are good.

    Cons

No merit increases unless you receive a promotion, horrendous performance review process (forced ranking, not a true measurement of one's performance), bad leaders/managers who don't know how to manage people or adapt, loyalty and hard work is meaningless, don't grow/develop people, and the culture is secretive and closed communication.

    Advice to Management

Learn to become leaders, learn to value people, and fix your culture.

    Pros

Great people work at this company. The product line is great and the industries it participates in are awesome. The 401K matching contribution and annual lump sum contribution payment is second to none. The opportunities to interact with colleagues globally is rewarding and provides a great opportunity for personal and professional growth. Since many people are working multiple jobs due to attrition and mass exodus of employees with no replacements, there is no shortage of learning opportunities.

    Cons

The compensation philosophy basically states that you will never get a raise if you earn an average wage. They spent years convincing employees that financial rewards and growth will come through a generous bonus program that all but disappeared the last two years. Of course if you are the CEO, you will still get a $28 million well earned and well deserved bonus even though the stock price has been tanking, but ordinary employees are basically worthless and expendable. CNH treats it suppliers equally bad, withholding payments from them for weeks at the end of every quarter.

    Advice to Management

Quit blaming and punishing your U.S. employees for poor executive decisions or rotten performance in Europe. You are behaving unethically in regards to raises; employees should not have to go years and years with no wage growth. Pay your suppliers, short term gimmicks to rig the books is irresponsible and probably illegal. Most employees think the new code of conduct is a joke because executives are the first to violate ethical business practices.
