    Pros

The people, the facilities, the flexibility of the job. Upper management often lets common sense win the day. Opportunities for job growth if you're willing to change departments / roles.

    Cons

Low morale, management didn't shield lower level employees from upper level BS. No urgency to promote within your own group.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The compensation system makes a toxic environment - bring back annual raises. Engineers need 1 week mandatory operating equipment in the field. PLM (performance review process) make about 2 months of the year completely toxic for morale.

    Pros

Good professional environment, stability, opportunities to work with locations outside US.

    Cons

Salaries are on the low side, but bonuses have been good for the last 3 years. No annual salary adjustments (unless you are promoted). Unless this changes, talent will leave. Too conservative with hiring. Too much outsourcing.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Upper management has to offer more competitive salaries, or they will lose talent.

    Pros

In my experience the pay is very competitive with the industry. Management is very eager to teach newcomers and very interested in your success.

    Cons

Your concerns(customer concerns) are not taken seriously and typically dismissed as whats best for the company.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Take the advice of dealers and utilize practices that the competition use, or continue to watch market share decline.

    Pros

Strong company with a long tradition built on a solid industry. Self starters can achieve here if you can get visibility from management, benefits are solid, people here are great to work with, opportunity to see the world in some roles

    Cons

Little diversity in management, out-dated philosophy about how to manage people, not a strong company culture to speak of, training/growth is limited, difficult to move up, antique systems

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

We need to modernize our systems and focus on people.

    Pros

A lot of freedom to do your work. Not super high pressure typically.

    Cons

Only Politically savvy people can move up the ladder. Lucky to get a promotion every 3-4 years... pretty much just watch the time go by. They don't recognize performance, even though they say they do. Salaries are not competitive with market... maybe competitive to people who live in Iowa, Kansas and the cost of living is half the price.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Allow rising starts to flourish, or watch them leave. Salaries are 10% behind the market, time for a change. Be a leader! Stop following DEERE, and step out of the shadows.

    Pros

Tons of opportunities to do good in the company. Open to any idea and working together as a team to execute the best one. Everyone is welcoming and helpful.

    Cons

Companies are paying better as well as benefits for same opportunities.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get your base Salary and benefits improved. Even though most new graduates are glad to get a job, they do want the best that they can get. Sadly you dont quite match what others are willing to offer to fulfill positions.
