    Pros

If you perform at a high level, you can receive recognition and autonomy; reasonable hours and benefits.

    Cons

The culture doesn't focus on performance. Senior management is a good ol' boys club that offers lucrative contracts to associates without regard for the business outcome.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Plan your work and work your plan. Frequent changes in direction are an almost incalculable expense. Don't keep trying the same solutions and expecting a different result.

    Pros

One of the best things about working for CNO Financial is the ability to advance into different areas of the company with on-site training. The company is also really good at taking time to acknowledge the efforts of its employees and even provides rewards for meeting certain quarterly goals.

    Cons

Sometimes the opportunities for advancement in the company are limited based on the limit of how frequency you can apply for promotions.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Allow advancement more readily to individuals who have shown there capability to advance quickly.

    Pros

Nice campus, kept updated, great educational opportunies for employees, and lots of parking.

    Cons

Crazy deadlines to meet in short period of time.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Going back to 2004 the employee office culture was nice, everyone seem to want the company to move forward. But along the way, it was more about management getting the perks and the associated getting nothing. When I got hired I was so proud in 2002, but then in 2009 the company changed so much. Moral was so low, and was hard to see people just leaving. I would say to management to help develope their employees to be sucessful, and mentor.

    Pros

Plenty of opportunities for advancement and trying new or different roles if you work hard and show a sense of urgency.

    Cons

Many legacy systems and products that were bought over the years that were difficult to interface with each other. Many territorial people who had been there for many years and did not want to share resources or information.
