    Pros

Financially they are a sound company with a great business model. peer support is terrific. Pay is above average for the industry and location. Very family friendly.

    Cons

In some areas of the company the way projects are handled is very casual. There is no structure to understanding the pros and cons of deciding on a project, the execution of the project and the follow up. Often there is a paralysis of execution for routine tasks because of the overwhelming amount documentation required. Senior mgmt does not do a good job of understanding and appreciating the work effort of the empoyees.

    Advice to Management

Senior management needs to do a better job of recognizing, understanding and appreciating the effort put forth by their employees.

    Pros

This is a great place to work. Work hard and you will get ahead.

    Cons

Tough times means cuts. Years of service great till you get cut.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what has worked. Don't become FDR with the constant churn and burn of talent.

Great Company to work for until recent years

    Pros

The CSG culture has historically been one that promoted entrepreneurially behavior in its employees. It was an environment where employees could ask questions, challenge new inititatives and feel as though their voice was heard. The company's growth through acquisition strategy has provided great opportunities for the midwestern organization to learn about integration of corporate cultures.

    Cons

CSG has attempted to broaden its product/service lines to decrease the pressure of having the majority of its revenue tied to a handful of clients. Unfortunately, the in-house 'blame game' is alive and well at CSG, from sales, to development, to product management. Executive management is busy 'counting beans' rather than leading and holding those responsible, accountable. Within the past 5 years there has been a significant shift in the culture that is a double standard. Management asks/requires employees to share their ideas and expand their skills (stretch goals) but do not provide the necessary support to help them achieve the goals and then wonders why employees are disenchanted and not motivated.

    Advice to Management

Spend some time to personally understanding what mid-level managers and employees think of the most recent initiatives.

    Pros

Relaxed Atmosphere, Challanging Work, Great People To Work With. New buidings in 2012.

    Cons

The more tenure you have, the less job security Morale low due to long work hours

    Advice to Management

Focus on your people and watch how well they perform. You have some talented people working at CSG that are overworked and under appreciated.

    Pros

The work environment is pretty friendly Very casual dress code is a bonus Benefits are above average from what I know about.

    Cons

Information passed down from upper management is much too vague and generic. A lot of situations where the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is up to. Quick to bring the hammer down on what is viewed from upper management as a problem but extremely slow to reverse when the situation shows it's justified.

    Advice to Management

Upper management needs to find a way to truly communicate better with the average employee. They do a good job at regular generic updates but those just don't seem to be effective.

I worked at CSG International full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Stable work environment. Overall, decent compensation/benefits. Good work gets recognized and rewarded.

    Cons

Dysfunctional internally.....have trouble believing the company can be competitive in the long term without a major change in management....which did not seem likely while I was employed there. Lots of dead wood , so it's not a good place for a junior IT person to get exposed.

    Advice to Management

Make people accountable for bad decisions.

    Pros

CSG is a great place to work, the work is challenging and the coworkers are great. The benefits are good and the managers treat you with respect. The culture and values of the company are great, it feels like a family and you are treated like one.

    Cons

I can't think of any cons currently. The clients are demanding as should be expected.

    Advice to Management

I have been working at CSG International full-time

    Pros

Pretty flexible work schedule. Casual dress code. Super nice people. Decent pay. Broad use of technology provides many job opportunities.

    Cons

Not the company it used to be. Seems to be confused on if it wants to go wide or go deep. Chicago influence has changed the once-wonderful Omaha / Denver culture.

    Advice to Management

Too many major changes all at once. No one feels setup to succeed.
