I have been working at CVS Health

    Pros

If you are a young go getter, don't work here.

    Cons

You will be sold on a job that has no real impact.
Office environment works on a retail schedule, so 10 hour days are common with no benefit for doing so.
Health Benefits are some of the worse I have seen.

I worked at CVS Health (less than a year)

    Pros

The compensation is above average. But the potential to earn the equity and bonus targeted is elusive.

    Cons

The work life balance is nonexistent. In the past year I worked overnight on projects on two occasions. The atmosphere is retail-oriented. Like Walmart... you work until you drop.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Try to become a real wellness company versus a company that only wants to sell ever increasing volumes of health & beauty items, pharmaceutics and drug plans.

I have been working at CVS Health

    Pros

None.....I honestly can't say.....maybe that it builds great endurance...for wrongful treatment....that is with an extreme sense of positivity.

    Cons

Ahhh....there is not enough space in this box. To keep it short and sweet; understaffed, overworked, and under paid. Corporate is the WORST, if it wasn't for the sense of family you are forced to make with your fellow mistreated co-workers in order to survive the abuse.....we would all question suicide on a daily basis. It is one sad day when two employees who grew up together as best friends and have worked together at a prior job turn into Dragon slaying Galatians against one another. Only prize in site is the hopeful trickle of a notion that we MIGHT be able to keep our minimum wage job, or at least get a mediocre review. In the CVS world it is either kill or be killed. We find ourselves in constant fear of our job security. You are more likely to be fired over not collecting enough email addresses from customers then smoking pot in the back room. As long as your store makes budget you can have a big ol rager every Tuesday! Also not to mention corporate likes to put you on a hook and cast you out to the customers with this great policy to improve business. As corporate dangles you around and a customer bites, not too happy with the product, corporate then cuts the line and switches the bait claiming you were misreading the policy. OF COURSE there are just some unseen exceptions, it is your fault! What were you thinking listening to what I said!??? You did not see the small print??? Oh you have a picture of the email that we sent saying by what ever means do not stray from this policy!!??? Pshh you must not be a patriotic employee burning the sacred CVS flag!! Someone so combative and disobedient, you are lucky we are employing you, be grateful and take the blame. CREATING IMPOSSIBLE STANDARDS THAT WILL NEVER BE MET! So we can feel bad when they are not accomplished and understand why we are only making a mere 9 dollars an hour as a manager, so we have no choice but to be grateful. They break our spirits, our Will....Now that I think of it.....this must be a classic case of Stockholm syndrom....I have soo much more to say...but sadly I must pause to weep in my bed about my miserable life as a forsaken CVS employee....another day....another time....

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Management is a fantastic idea! It is a title that you will wear to do more work, more stress, and a whole 10¢ more pay then everyone else! Unless of course a pot smoking hippie gets hired a couple months after you and just so luckily minimum wage went up so now he is making more then you! T feel down though, that pot smoking hippie isn't qualified to clean poopy toilets! You are one special pal! You wear that poop stained name tag with pride!!! ....is this considered a rant? No curse words....

I have been working at CVS Health full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Flexible schedule. There's really nothing nice employees are treated like trash by managers.

    Cons

Underpaid hardly any raises. You get a report card on your customer service. They realistic in the type of customer service they want. Managers are trained to peek over the aisles and watch you work for hours

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be realistic and stop being so scripted it's clear you're only thinking of your bonus not your employees

I have been working at CVS Health as a contractor (more than a year)

    Pros

Couple of decent people. Total lack of urgency. If you are a CVS employee, expect to be waiting in line at 4:30 to walk out of the office, regardless of what's happening.

    Cons

Total reliance on outside vendors. The 1st priority of all employees is to CYA, and everything is left to vendors, including all accountability and responsibility. Zero management of vendors. Complete lack of change management; incoherent policies and procedures that deliver nothing but unnecessary overhead to any effort. Zero ownership of anything from either the business or IT - just a lot of blank stares, shrugged shoulders and whining about what contractors did wrong.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

less focus on making sure employees know what things will detract from their bonus, and more focus on actually delivering useful capabilities.

I have been working at CVS Health full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

None. This is the worst job experience I have ever had. All of my colleagues are looking for other jobs. I'm so disappointed that I turned down other opportunities to take a position at CVS.

    Cons

No work life balance, pay is lower on average than other companies, no training is offered, no focus on growth. Time off policy is similar to a job you'd get out of college. Terrible environment, extremely low morale. Honestly cannot wait to find a new position.

I worked at CVS Health as a contractor (less than a year)

    Pros

I cant think of one positive thing to say about this company. Looking back, I think there weren't any Pros.

    Cons

The management was horrible, there was no employee management communication. The employees where treated like a number with an insane turnaround rate to show for it.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Loosen up and listen to your employees once and a while, there may be a potential shining star there.
