    Pros

Excellent exposure to multiple asset classes. You get to work with extremely intelligent and knowledgeable people. Reasonable hours and a good work/life balance. Good benefits and vacation, and management is very reasonable about letting people take vacation. They also try to make sure to stay informed about employee morale.

    Cons

Lack of ability to be promoted beyond a certain level without a masters degree. Very low pay relative to the rest of the finance industry. The work can be very cyclical, so there are times when there is very little to do and other times when there is way too much to do.

    Advice to Management

    None

    Pros

Good Intro to Industry. Ability to work on a variety of asset classes and clients. Sophisticated clientele. Goof work life balance/benefits.

    Cons

Pay is mediocre and no clear promotion metrics. Flat structure - need MBA to advance. Some consultants younger with less experience.

    Advice to Management

Make team/promotionstructures clearer. Increase communication. Look to develop program to move employees to other roles after a few yrs. Offer more perks to add color to the Cambridge experience.

    Pros

Everyone is always very willing to help out. Very collegial atmosphere. Young employees. Great area.

    Cons

Compensation is fairly limited. Benefits package seems great at first but there are lots of hidden little clauses (especially with tuition assistance).

    Advice to Management

    Compensate a little bit better.

    Pros

    - good work environment, a lot of young professionals, willing to help out others - decent job for a college graduate - set career path - get to work on some interesting clients

    Cons

    - the work itself gets very repetitive even as you progress in the career path. the only perk of progressing is you get to delegate the work to associates. - the job is mainly data collection/entry at the associate level - the hours can be long during the busy cycle (60+) - compensation is pretty low (43k starting)

    Advice to Management

offer better compensation and more continuous training that challenges your employees.

    Pros

-Management values hard work and supports professional growth -Helpful and genuinely caring coworkers -Good for recent college grads because everyone is in their early 20s -Great benefits and HR team -The values of Cambridge and the work they do really are wonderful

    Cons

-Misleading job descriptions: you do no research or anything qualitative, just math and data entry -Really not for liberal arts majors -Limited amount of growth opportunity -Management seriously micromanages

    Advice to Management

Relax; you don't need to do what employees do every hour, there does not need to be a checklist for everything, and no one needs performance reviews every month.

    Pros

Good health plan, casual atmosphere. Parking and subsidized metro. Creature comforts attended to.

    Cons

Non-competitive salary, limited promotion potential, biased compensation structure. Demoralizing in expectations at times. Little to no interaction among departments - very compartmentalized organization. Becoming much more a company of isolated groups. Core support groups only in Boston office - limits some growth opportunities.

    Advice to Management

Stronger emphasis on support staff could result in better work quality and loyalty and drive to enhance/improve processes.

    Pros

Well recognized name in the industry, very intelligent people.

    Cons

Really slow to change, lack of investment in technology makes everything 10 times harder to complete

    Advice to Management

Don't wait until it's too late to make investments in technology. The firm is paying for the lack of investment from the last 5-10 years.

    Cons
